We visited a week after Michelle had taken the place on in February and promised to return. Well,we did just that a couple of weeks ago when down in Devon for a couple of days & were made very welcome by Michelle and her staff. I would say that if you ever find yourself in Bideford, pop in and say...

Cycled from Barnstable to Bidiford, called in at the local butcher to buy some sausages (Mill Street Butchers) for tea. I asked if he could recommend a local pub for lunch, without hesitation he suggested The Kings Arms. Enjoyed a pint of Timothy Taylors and a 3 cheese ploughman's both very good as was the very warm welcome from the...

A beautiful 16th century quayside Inn, full of history, unfortunately just one of the few businesses open on a Sunday in Bideford. Great Cornish ales on offer and a decent menu with local fayre. The staff were very helpful and attentive too :)

We were delighted by the warm welcome from the new landlady and staff, they are doing a great job. We visited at lunchtime, tried the King Burger and agree with Maggie324569, this is the best burger we have ever eaten! Great value and service! Luckily we live in the area, so we can visit whenever we want.

Stopped in at The King's Arms for lunch. The food was lovely. There were a good range of options (which included plenty of choice for the kids) and the quality was really good. I can heartily recommend the beefburger. The staff were all really welcoming. Will definitely be heading back there next time I'm in that part of the world!

We were on our motorbikes and had stopped here for an early lunch because it was raining at the time. The atmospheric, 16th century pub was still serving breakfast until 12 noon, so we thought we'd try it out. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, well cooked and surprisingly only £6.95 at the time! We were served a well presented plate of...

My boyfriend my Dad and his 2 children aged 5 & 6 really enjoyed our food here. My dad being a vegetarian sometimes finds it limited or a bit "samey" when we go out to eat. I noticed a local item called "Homity Pie" which I was curious to find out more about. It was a potato chess and spinach...

“Please remember that this is a 16th century pub so you are not going to get 5 star quality - if that is what you are after, you are going to be staying at the wrong hotel. It is clean, comfortable and the staff are fantastic.”
