We previously stayed here in June 2017 and had no hesitations in booking a short break here again, either side of a trip to Lundy Island. Our stay was just as good as before and our hosts were welcoming and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We cannot thank Lesley enough for the wonderful 2 night stay we had at the Bideford Beehives. The welcome we received, complete with cream tea, was lovely. We are still raving about the 4 course breakfast! Nothing compares. The delicious, locally sourced ingredients were a fantastic touch. We were fortunate enough to have the beautifully presented Beehives to ourselves, which meant we had a stunning room, light and airy bathroom, dining room, lounge and terrace to enjoy. A great location for Appledore, Instow, Bideford and Westward Ho! To name a few. Secure parking on site. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly highly recommend.

What a great find the “ Beehive “ B/B, five stars without doubt, had such a welcome from Lesley with a cream Devon tea welcome, delicious, the house is amazing with beautiful hidden gem of gardens including Beehives/ chickens. The views are lovely, it’s tucked away from the main road down a dirt track, what a grand fine. The breakfast is delicious, homemade honey/ marmalade. Comfortable lounge and bedrooms excellent. It certainly is a must. The bed is large and very comfortable.

Really one of the best B&Bs I’ve ever stayed in. Accommodation was immaculate and the food fresh, local and plentiful. Property is tucked away at the end of a private road and is completely peaceful and yet is only 5 minutes from Appledore, Northam and Bideford. The proprietor was charming, helpful but unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at The Beehives. It is by far the best B & B we have stayed in. Immaculately clean with very comfortable beds and beautiful pillows and linen. Lesley really couldn't do enough for us. We were offered cream tea on arrival and the tea/coffee facilities in the room were well above your average B & B. With a choice of teas, filter and instant coffee and a cafetiere. It's the little things that make it a huge deal. The breakfast was gorgeous with a huge selection of hot items, night down to fruit, yogurt and cereal. The house is set in immaculate, peaceful grounds and the view from our room was stunning. This is an absolute gem of a find and I would highly recommend The Beehives to anyone.
