Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for lunch and it was spectacular, portions are large and the quality is very high. I recommend booking as it isn't a huge place and appears to have many regulars if our visit was anything to go by. Service is excellent as is the atmosphere.

We had a family celebration at the St Quintin Arms and will not return, ever. The food, except the children's menu - and I do wish I'd had the chicken nuggets/fish fingers - was mediocre to say the least. I've never seen a Yorkshire pudding like it - it had a dense spongy bottom about an inch thick, and the sides were similar. One person had a Yorkshire pudding wrap, left it all and came out hungry; the waitress who collected the plates but no comment at all about the plateful that she took back.

Stayed here for an overnight as it was handy for an event we were attending nearby. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view over the fields. The landlord and lady were very welcoming and accommodating. The bar/ restaurant area had a good atmosphere and the food was excellent. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Spent of couple of nights in this cosy and comfortable B and B. Room airy, bright, clean with excellent views over the fields. Quiet setting. Very good food and generous portions at breakfast and dinners. Also enjoyed a lunch outside in the garden one day- ciabatta rolls with gammon ham and salad. Very welcoming and attentive hosts. Will be booking again.

As always, a lovely lunch. Food all fresh and piping hot. I had the steak and ale pie for a change and wasn't disappointed. Hubbie had roast beef, sticky toffee pud and said both delicious. Thanks Gary and Tracey, this pub really is a hidden treasure and we are so glad we found it. Highly recommend

We visited here on a Thursday night following a friend's recommendation and it really didn't disappoint. We'd prebooked a table which is a wise move as it certainly gets busy. Can't fault a thing. Really friendly and warm welcome from the staff and a good selection of tempting dishes on the menu. We choice the steak pie with chips and from the specials board, the pork tenderloin with a whisky and mushroom sauce served with chips and seasonal veg. Service was really efficient and when it arrived we were both impressed by the portion sizes. Both meals were delicious and sadly left little room for a dessert. The bill came to just over £40 for the food, 3 drinks and a coffee. This represents great value for money and we will definitely be returning to this lovely pub in a very pretty village. Highly recommend to anyone.

Excellent country pub with accommodation. They have gone the extra mile to ensure ensure that they can feed everyone. Their comprehensive menu even met our idiosyncratic dietary requirements. The beer is excellent and the wine selection adequate. Baring in mind that this is a small country pub they receive full marks. The landlords Gary and Tracy are friendly and welcoming. We unreservedly recommend this pub situated in a very quiet.quiet village.

What a lovely pub! The food was nice and plentiful. We had a fish butty burger and the pork schnitzel, and both were nice. The pub itself is gorgeous. I liked the naughty corner sign and naughty step! Nice touch! Will definitely recommend and will be returning to try other bits from the menu.
