We had a works' team event here which was great fun. Our Chef Tutor (Jono) was great. He was patient with us all, encouraging, easy to understand, great all round fun throughout the day. The kitchen/cooking area was large and super clean. The accommodation was clean and fresh and very lovely. Breakfast was superb! All the staff we encountered could not do enough for us - a thoroughly great place to have fun cooking, eating and staying over! thank you everyone at Highfield Farm! FIVE STAR, deffo recommend to anyone!
Thanks for a very comfortable visit.. We arrived on bicycles on our way of the roses route. Very warm welcome. Safe storage for bikes even a pump and tools available We had bought our tea and were offered plates and glasses. Sat in the sun reading when our host offed us a beer... Very welcome. Would definitely re visit Many thanks
We booked two rooms for the family. These were well appointed and spotlessly clean. The front of house and dining room staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I were in a ground floor, easy access room with a wet room, which suited me perfectly, as I am less able. There was also a comfortable lounge to relax in. Breakfast was a delight and excellently prepared. A very nice overall experience.
We had a great one night stay at the farm at the end of a brilliant “curry night with Jono”cookery course. The room was really comfortable and very clean, with all the amenities that you would expect. There is a really lovely residents’ lounge with plenty of information about the local area. Breakfast was served at a large table. We were the only residents but I assume that we would’ve been joined by others had they been there. Whilst we didn’t go inside any of the glamping units they looked absolutely magnificent and we would probably book one of those if we were to return. Those who were staying there were singing their praises!
This is the fourth time I've stayed here with a Yorkshire Coast Nature bird watching and photography workshop group and the standard of accommodation and meals were as good as ever. The staff were friendly and well organised and all our needs were met. The farm is in the heart of the countryside and managed in a wildlife-friendly way. One morning, whilst walking on their private path round the nearby fields before breakfast, skylarks were singing and roe deer were feeding - an unforgettable experience!
Excellent location, stayed in a glamping pod and had everything you needed, Hot tub was lovely and although the front is open so you get to see the beautiful views it is also very private. The pod was very clean and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
Very clean and comfortable . Only grumble was the very bright green light on all night in the room. I presume this was part of the fire alarm system. The light did keep me awake as there did not seem to be any way of turning it off. Cranswick room.
We booked the for 2 nights to stay over NYE. The cabins where lovely and had everything we needed. For the price we paid it was excellent! The hot tub topped it off and the location is great and all the cabins are very private. As it was all self check in we didn’t see anyone but did ring to ask for some recommendations on somewhere to eat. The lady we spoke to was really helpful and polite. We will definitely return to highfield farm cabins, it was such a fab way to enter the new year!
I booked one of the clamping cabins for my partners 30th for an over night stay. The value for money is amazing and the cabin was absolutely lovely. The views were amazing too. Would highly recommend if anyones second thinking booking here.
Three of us stayed for two nights. The staff could not be more warm and helpful and the facility was just what we hoped for. Good choice. Wide range of breakfast choices. High standard of cleanliness, lovely beds.
