Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our second time at dacre lakeside (same log cabin ) and we’ve had the most beautiful relaxing week . A great place to come to relax and really slow down . We had a cabin right on the lake. It was beautiful sitting in the hot tub watching the ducks and swans -loved the dressing gown and slippers (a lovely touch) we took some spare towels but didn’t need them we were provided with lots of lovely big bath towels . The lodge had everything we needed for a lovely week away . Thank you dacre lakeside park xxx

We have just got home from our second stay at dacre lakeside park. 1st stay was 12 years ago We stayed in dragonflys watersedge 7 both times as we requested the same lodge what a beautiful place this is. The staff were all so kind and helpful craig went above and beyond to help in any problems or questions we had the little welcome bits were a lovely addition ( tea, coffee, hotchoc, milk) made arriving better so didnt need to rush to the shop. Love the dressing gown and slippers too made getting in and out the hottub alot nicer. Huge bubble bath was a nice treat too. . The restaurant on the waters edge (berts) was gorgeous sat outside beside the water 1 day and inside as was cold second day the pizzas are amazing and the staff were all really smiley and so polite. Inside the club house theres a nice bar with pool table and a snooker table upstairs for over 18s. Couldnt fault this place at all we are already looking to book in june with the kids for the anniversary weekend. Thankyou so much craig and the rest of the staff we had an amazing time relaxing for the weekend.

You are always apprehensive when you go on holiday to a new place, even more so when you go away for Christmas because you want everything to be perfect and I can honestly say it was. we stayed for four days over the Christmas period and had a truly great time, we went to the clubhouse on Christmas eve and had a fantastic time, the staff couldn't be nicer and more helpful, we played adventure golf, snooker and took part in the quiz, (which we won so it made it even better), it was an amazing atmosphere. The lodge was so clean and comfy and we went in the hot tub most days and just relaxed looking out over the pond. The lodge was fully equipped and there was even a welcome pack there on our arrival, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk in the fridge. I can honestly say this was one of the best Christmases we have had, in fact we loved it so much we booked to go again for next Christmas the day we got home. Thank you Dacre lakeside park.

Just returned from an amazing 2 night stay in the Shepherds Hut. Everything you could possibly need was provided even down to umbrellas and blankets for sitting outside! Prosecco and milk in the fridge. Partner caught good size carp on the private fishing peg. Very private with fencing and pretty lights for sitting out at night. They have recently replaced the wood fired hot tubs with electric which were perfect. Beautiful views of the lake and surroundings. So peaceful! Bert’s pizzeria is great for food and drinks and the pizzas are delicious! Can’t say enough good things about this place it is beautiful we will absolutely be returning!!

Absolutely beautiful place, so peaceful and tranquil. Perfect choice for our short and sweet honeymoon. Cosy little hut with everything we needed right inside, Clean and inviting little space, we loved it. Special thanks to Craig the warden. Nice guy who couldn't do enough for us. Kept us well informed of everything and was there when we needed him. Close by for shops for the little things you need, even a chinese and chippy. Loved the hot tub, loved the views, loved the privacy for us. You've nailed it guys. I would definitely recommend and return. Thanks again

Dacre lakeside Park lodges are amazing . From the very friendly staff in reception to everything you could need for your stay . The grounds are kept immaculately and fab pizza restaurant on site . We highly recommend the place . Lots of little touches like dressing gowns and slippers to shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom . We loved the hot tub which was maintained every day . The furnishings and furniture all lovely and comfortable . The highlight was having ducks visiting on the veranda every morning .

We stayed in a Bulrush watersedge lodge (number 22). The lodge was absolutely spotless and nice and warm, hot tub was checked daily too. Cannot fault the lodge facilities at all, and it’s a gorgeous quiet location right on the lake. The ducks and swans came to greet us each morning and we found a local shop nearby (walking distance) and bought some peas and corn to feed them. We went out on the lake in a Pedalo which was great fun, and we had an evening meal at the on-site restaurant ‘Bert’s’- booked In advance, food and service was great. I also had a massage at the on site beauty parlour and that was fantastic. All staff we met were very friendly and ready to help whenever needed- particularly the warden. Local village is lovely, we went to the Dacre Arms for dinner one night and it was really nice. Thinking about booking our next visit already, would definitely recommend!

We stayed in one of the Shepard's Huts, it was absolutely beautiful. Small and cosy with everything you need. We had a hot tub with a private jetty onto the lake where we did some fishing. It was sectioned off so it was private enough as there was three huts in a row. There was a complimentary bottle of prosecco on arrival which was a nice touch along with coffee/tea/sugar and 1pt of milk. (We took everything else we needed) we spent two nights and it was so lovely and would definitely book again. Five stars! ⭐ It was clean and fresh and all the staff we spoke to were helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Booked Monday to Friday in a log cabin with hot tub and couldn't fault it from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, check in was easy. The cabins were spotless and well equipped loved the hot tub especially liked it was under cover. We took our own paddle board and kayak so only paid £10 as we were staying on site so was well worth the money. We played the Adventure Golf and Football Golf which were good fun. On Thursday night there was bingo and a raffle arranged by the warden, made all the better as we won on the bingo. There is an adult only snooker area in the clubhouse also a pool table downstairs. Bar prices were really reasonable. The whole site wad immaculate and the staff were always on the go. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this site
