Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great caravan park. Very quiet and ideal for families and children. Rabbits running round and chicken wandering round too.
This site has a Play area with climbing frame and lots of grass area for kids to play on. Tennis courts and basket ball nets, football pitch on site. There is a games room with a full size snooker table, pool table, tabke tennis, dart board and juke box.
Staff on site where very friendly and attentive. Having 3 yound children with us who wanted to knock on the house for pool que's and table tennis bats.. staff couldnt have been more helpful :-)
There is a shop on site but we didnt make use of it as we took all food with us. It is in the middle of nowhere so take all you need with you. Some great walks from the site too. Cant wait to go back. Ps only visit if you dont mind rain! It rains most of the time here but doesnt stop you having fun!

This is a lovely, peaceful park in a remote area; great for ramblers and bird watching. The nearest town was approximately 16 miles away; would advise arriving with any necessary items and food. We never used the 'site shop'; you had to knock at the farmhouse if you wanted service which was good when we did. We got the impression that this is a working farm and the caravans were not the focal point of the business as born out by a couple of cobwebs in the van and the unemptied and mouldy contents of the teapot. Despite this our stay was enjoyable; the van, and particularly the bed, comfortable. The Farm has chickens roaming the site including a cockerel that joined in with the dawn chorus so be warned if you don't like being woken early. The games room was well equipped with a full size snooker table, a pool table and a table tennis table but had an air of disuse about it; a good hoover out would have made a big difference. Nice park area with a climbing frame and swings for kids. Good base for exploring the surrounding area and for trips further afield such as Kendal and Keswick.

Stayed here from Sunday 6th. We were met by lovely Amalia. She told us what we needed to know and left us to it. We are a family with a 12yr old. We soon discovered no reception at all for our phones. Our 12yr old was a bit upset but was able to use the games room for Free wifi. We actually all said how nice it was not to have any phone reception for a few days. Absolutely loved the remoteness of this caravan park. Going over the dales to the Lake District was so nice. Caravan was very well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the caravan was extremely clean. My only gripe and it is a teeny gripe is that the shop never seemed to be open. Would be useful to know what the opening times were.

Arrived at the caravan park, not sure what to expect as the price for two nights was so reasonable. My mum and I have stayed in caravans before and some have been small, cramped and shabby. However, the caravan at Chapel Farm was clean, warm, spacious and very lovely to stay in. Amalia was very helpful and helped us to settle in. We really enjoyed having chickens wandering around the caravan park and overall we were pleased that the caravan park was very quiet and peaceful. A great few days to relax relatively near to the Lake District.

Stayed for 3 nights and the caravan was just lovely. Double glazing, central heating, lovely shower, everything needed was supplied just needed own towels and tea towels. Be prepared to drive quite a way to reach anywhere but for the peace and quiet of the campsite that isn’t really an issue.

We had caravans went away with family and friends. If you like peace and tranquillity this is the place.
Take everything with u as no on site shop. There is a bar open Friday and sat 7_11pm. There is also a games room pool, snooker, darts, football table. Also don't expect to get good phone signal on site ok in games room that's it. Caravans were good provided everything we needed.
We enjoyed our weekend and made our own fun
