Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We needed a few days away and I chose the Stone’s Throw based on previous reviews and we weren’t disappointed. We had a warm friendly welcome from the hosts and had a lovely stay despite the rainy weather. The B&B is just off the prom so within walking distance of the beach and nearby shops, bars and restaurants and the free onsite parking is a bonus. The breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend.

In a quiet street off the front and yet a stones throw from the beach. Found by chance and glad we did. In an excellent location with parking and also very quiet. A proper breakfast with lots of choice, for example fruit salad was fresh fruit and not tinned. Great hosts that made us feel special. The room and bed were very comfortable, will definitely be returning.

From the minute we arrived it was a fabulous experience, Nikki was so friendly and helpful. The room was very well equipped and even had dog bowls with our dogs name on as well as treats and a dog bed! The location was perfect for exploring Weymouth. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choices too.

From first contact via email to the check in Nikki offers a lovely welcome to this perfectly located property, just a few hundred yards to the beach and town centre. The room was fantastic with a great selection of teas and coffee with fresh milk available from the shared fridge. Our dog was especially welcome with treats, bowls and a bed . Humans are spoiled too with complimentary Dorset apple cake, delicious. The breakfast has a great choice and sets you up for the day. Never stayed in Weymouth before and we will be back. We don't need to look any further for accommodation in future as we found the best!! Besides we have to meet Ludo and Bella next time! Thanks again Nikki and Pete , From Dave, Julie and of course Marvin

We've stayed in many places especially in Weymouth, we stumbled across Stones Throw by accident and booked it for a weekendwe've been 3 times now and we wouldn't book anywhere else, this is hands down the best place we've stayed in Weymouth by a country mile, location is 5 mins from shops, Nik &Steve are the nicest people you could ever meet and the dogs are adorable, the rooms are spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, Breakfast is superb, Tea & Coffee facilities in your room and extra milk and home made cakes as well, what's not to like ? don't change a thing you two, well done, see you next time, Kev & Sue XX

Second time staying here. Home from home, right next to the beach and parking included. The owners make you feel really welcome and relaxed. Dogs are very welcome and they put out a dog bed, bowls and treats for them. Breakfast is of a high quality too. Stay here when in Weymouth.

A well situated guest house very close to the town and beach, with other attractions a short drive away. On site parking for 3 or 4 cars a bonus. The room was warm and comfortable. Information sheets in room with restaurant ideas and a Weymouth map to use. Breakfast choices also listed for ordering the evening before. Rest milk available from the fridge in the lobby for those who don't like uht milk, a nice thought. A warm welcome from the hosts and even got to meet Ludo and Bella the lovely dogs.
