Went in for the Holy first pint out yesterday and it was nothing short of fabulous. Service from everyone was friendly, warm and if there was a word better then efficient then that would be it. Fantastic overhaul of the back garden for more spacious seating. When they noticed it was getting chilly they couldn't of done more to make us comfortable with heating and fresh blankets. So happy our local is in great hands. Highly recommended. #supportyourlocal #tipthestaff they are working their socks off. Thank you royal Oak for a safe and friendly welcome back to the pub!

We stayed here for one night and found this B&B above the pub to be okay, but not wonderful. We were very glad to book here when we discovered they were dog-friendly as many places aren't but a little bit disappointed on arrival with the look of the pub. It's not that great inside. The carpets were a little bit worn and sticky and the drink we ordered was flat. The host was very friendly and welcoming however and she sent her son to show us to our room and he was very chatty too. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. To reach our room we had to go out to the back, where there is a pub garden, and then up some metal stairs to access the rooms. We were the only ones using the top floor of the building due to Covid restrictions. They put us in the family room, which is huge. The bed was comfy. We had a good nights sleep and everything was clean in the room. The toilet was next door to our room and we would have been sharing it with other guests, had there been any. That room needed a bit of attention, a lick of paint, or something. Then the shower room was further down the corridor and this was not great. The cubicle was quite tiny and my husband had to take the shower head off to get any water to come out. It needed cleaning out or descaling or something. So some good things, but other things we were disappointed with.

Managed to book the last room and was not disappointed. Jane and her team were very welcoming and service was first class. Make sure you have the full english breakfast, kept us going whilst exploring Dorset. The room was well laid out and cleaned to a high standard. Locality to other amenities and Weymouth beach is a plus. Highly recommended!
