We stayed in a triple room which was clean and tidy with plenty of space and equiped with a tv and dvd player, tea and coffee and an en suite shower room. The room was serviced and cleaned daily with bins emptied and fresh towells provided if needed. Its 5 minutes walk from Al Molo resturant and the Pier Bandstand which are on the pebble part of the beach. This is beautiful and quieter than the sandy beach which starts only another 2 minutes walk away. Theres parking on the drive for 4 cars and there are 6 rooms. We usually parked on the drive and once on the street just outside, its great this was free as you would have to pay to park any closer to the beach. With the Covid situation in mind we wore facemasks in the corridoors, used the hand sanitiser at the entrance and gave people space when we saw them. Weymouth itself was lovely and social distancing was taking place. We booked for meals at Al Molo and The Three Chimneys, both great and 5 minutes walk from the b and b. Also had great food without having to book, at the Gloucester and the Good Life Cafe. When we got takeaway food we could borrow plates etc from the b and b. The owner and staff were lovely and the price was reasonable.

Thank you, Kaf. It was good to have you here. We are lucky to have free parking on the street and four off-road spaces. If you come again you could try Hamiltons restaurant which is excellent and also just 5 minutes' walk away. The Park Pub just 100 yards away from us serves surprisingly good pub food at really competitive prices If you venture a little further towards town and the harbour you really are spoiled for choice.

The saying goes you get what you pay for, well this guest house offers great value for money. After an awful 6 hour plus journey we was grateful to find an off road parking space at the front of the building .
The owner was welcoming and check in very informal and easy and some welcome information given on the facilities available and layout of the areas bars and restaurants. The town centre was about. 10 minute walk and the harbour about 15 minutes.
The room was clean, spacious and bed comfortable. The tea/ coffee and extras were in plentiful supply and a stock was accessible without having to bother the owner.
The bathroom was again clean and practical with both a bath and shower available for use , it was explained to us that the water pressure could have issues at busy times due to work being carried out on the local water mains but we never had any problems with this.
If you are looking for an exclusive all singing and dancing hotel don’t book this residence, but if you want a friendly enjoyable totally practical experience I would recommend here.
This was our first visit to Weymouth and hopefully we will return in the future and would have no hesitation in returning to the Harlequin guest house

Thank you for your kind words. You get what we are all about. We will always be great value in the local market and many people choose us on a price basis. At our prices, you don't get grand interior design statements, trendy furniture, complimentary slippers, a bedtime story, or a helicopter landing pad. What you do get is a conveniently located, comfortable, clean guest house staffed by friendly hospitable and helpful people. And, importantly, we have 4 free off-road parking spaces for 6 rooms. Parking in the street is free and unrestricted. I would like to think that we exceed the expectations of many guests with an honesty shop, internet-connected T.V,s, and good local amenities As this current economic crisis grows and people feel the pinch more and more to strive to offer good accommodation at competitive honest prices. We offer our best rates to people who deal direct and don't go via the commission charging online middleman agents. Call 01305 785598 and ask about 7 nights for the price of 6 deals. We still have a few high-season summer weeks available

lovely b and b. good location short walk to town and beach. great value for money. unfortunately no breakfasts just now due to covid but friendly owner was helpful at recommending places nearby we could go to. pretty good selection of dvds you can select for night if wish, tv with dvd player in room. bed comfortable and room clean.
one minor downside and this is not the fault of the property at all (its all covids fault) but we were in family room and bathroom is down the corridor which normally wouldnt be a problem but because of having to wear masks in public areas having to put a mask on every time you wanted to go to the toilet in the middle of the night was just a minor annoyance. this doesnt apply to the other rooms. covid safety procedures in place.
having parking was a bonus. we didnt have an issue got parked right out front each time but if full (there are 4 spaces for 6 rooms) we were told there is on street parking nearby.

Thanks, Dawn, we have one room with an external private bathroom, it is next door to the bedroom. There are five ensuite rooms. Guests choose which room they want. Room 4 (private external bathroom) is extremely large and can sleep up to five people making it popular with families. We have four off-road parking spaces and are situated in a street with free, unrestricted roadside parking. This, in a popular Georgian/Victorian resort, is a money-saving bonus for many guests

We booked a very last minute one night stay at the Harlequin Guest House & to be honest I wished we had booked for longer as we couldn’t fault it.
Mike the owner was friendly & very knowledgable of the area. He also gave us easy directions to the beach + places of interest & recommended a few good places to eat within walking distance.
The Harlequin offers free off road parking which is a bonus, plus some of the surrounding side roads are also free to park without the usual restrictions.
Our room was spotless, the bed was enormous & super comfortable.
I would definitely recommend the Harlequin & it will certainly be our first choice when we revisit Weymouth in the future.

Provided everything we needed for a relaxed and restful stay. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable if a little soft for our liking, the room was cleaned every day. The local bus service was a short walk away and runs a frequent service to town.

Hi Mike, thanks for the review If guests don't feel like walking 10 minutes into town there are three pubs, one serving food, and four restaurants within 200 meters. I think people appreciate being in an area where they can park for free then walk along the esplanade to town and all the harbourside attractions

Have just returned from a four nights stay at the Harlequin and can thoroughly recommend it for a stay. We were happily welcomed by our host Mike and shown to our room. It was well equipped with tea and coffee which was replaced daily. It had a large, comfortable bed and a clean and tidy bathroom, although the shower curtain needed a bit of rearranging to prevent the shower flooding the bathroom floor. Towels were provided. The TV also needed a degree in the use of the controller, which was quickly sorted. The breakfast was excellent but had to be added as an optional extra. A great pub near the guest house served cheap but edible evening meals. It is about a ten minute walk to the beach. There was free parking outside. A thoroughly pleasant and comfortable place to reside.

Hi, thanks for coming I enjoyed your company and am glad you liked it here. Just for the benefit of prospective guests, I will respond to a few points. Shower curtain: Like all other shower curtains pull it all the way around and tuck the bottom inside the bath. It's simple T.V. you don't need a degree. You just need to understand that to switch between inputs like. T.V. or DV.D player you use the source button and up and down arrows. 5 minutes walk to the beach which is about 200m.away as the crow flies. 10 minute walk to the town and 15 to the harbour. . The Park pub on the corner of our street serves very nice, good value, largely home cooked and created, pub food.

We knew this was a budget place so wasn't expecting luxury. It's a bit tired but rooms are clean . Location good as it's quiet and there's on front parking.
However, the owner actually has seagulls in the house to feed! The noise of them squawking is bad, from first light. And, we both came home with nits!

This person has left a particularly malicious review. They did not stay here having booked a non-refundable discounted room then failing to turn up and subsequently asking for a refund. It would be madness to feed seagulls inside your house and I certainly don't. There are seagulls at the seaside, correct. Birds wake up early, correct. The nits comment is particularly malicious and it seems this person wishes to harm my business. Most people understand that nits are most likely passed around by close physical contact with an infested person. That is most likely to be a school-age child. We wash all our laundry at 60 degrees it is generally understood that is the tempertaure threshold for hygiene control . Wileman

Had a couple of nights and have to say it’s good value for money. Mike is a great host, nothing is too much trouble. Had room 6 which has a patio, was lovely to sit out in the sunshine. It was clean, room spacious and the bed was comfy, was a good breakfast, even without the mushrooms 😉.
