We enjoyed our 3 day stay at Birch House. We had a great sunny room and particularly enjoyed the breakfast. The fresh fruit was wonderful and there was a great choice of items and we could have as much as we liked. Everything was spotlessly clean and I would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Weymouth.
Stayed for 2 nights in July. House was lovely and very welcoming, despite the COVID restrictions being in place. Room was very welcoming and well specified. Minor issues with the bathroom - shower in need of a refresh, and looking like it needed some small bits of TLC, but overall very good. Breakfast was great each day, with Kathy putting on a delicious feast. Location wise it's close enough to the town centre, but not too close to be in the thick of it. A great place to stay to explore the Jurassic coast.
My wife and I spent a very enjoyable and comfortable weekend at this lovely B&B, ably owned and managed by Kathy and Peter, who certainly know how to look after their guests. The Green Room that we had was well appointed, homely and supplied with all that one needs by way of tea, coffee biscuits and the like. The room had a super en suite with all the comforts of home, and the room was well appointed with underfloor heating, a clock radio and flat tv, and ample cupboard space, and a super double bed. There is also off road parking, or you can park in the street if you want. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of fresh local and scrumptious food including the traditional English breakfast, so no need to leave the house feeling empty or neglected! All in all, great value for money, a good time to be had in Weymouth (highly recommend the George Grill and Bar for dinner), and we will return again, next time in the Spring to enjoy the lovely garden. Many thanks.....…
stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend. beautiful house, very clean, nicely decorated with lots of interesting art works and quirky touches. welcoming hosts, with 2 lively dogs. we stayed in a beautiful double room, very good size, comfortable bed, and beautiful bathroom- very high spec, with lovely touches like REN toiletries. its a little way out form the town centre- a good half an hour walk to the beach/harbor, but we used local taxis which were about £6 to the centre. would definitely recommend
I have previously stayed at the birch house a few years ago with my family. I decided to recently go back as we had such a good experience. My partner and I stayed from Thursday through to Sunday. We checked in after 4pm which was fine we travelled down in the morning and decided to go out for the day. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. It almost feels like your beautiful bedroom with a huge en-suite. Loved the couple sinks and having a bath and shower separate. The room had a tv and DVD played which you could use the DVD’s from the living room. There’s a Kettle and tea making facilities in the room as well as a fridge and some biscuits. Everything seemed to have a lovely touch to it. Very homely. The breakfast were amazing with a very big choice. Which was great because it really set you up for the day. The only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast was served 8 to 9.30 which leaves you a very window to have a lay in which we wanted to do. Would have been good if it was until 10 at least. Overall we would stay again. We loved the experience and the welcoming atmosphere. Thank you x …
