Dropped in last Saturday after dinner and had a really fun night. The beer was good but there was (free) excellent entertainment, even a free snack buffet. It's best described as a traditional pub with real log fires and friendly staff. Just one example; my other half wanted some crisps and when she went to the bar the bar staff... More

We went here for a drink after our meal to wait for the taxi. The staff were friendly along with locals which were in there. A good place to grab a drink. We have not tried the food but we didn't have time or room to try out the food, but may do when we visit Weymouth next time.

We called in here for food but was informed that they didn't do food anymore but we could bring food in which was a surprise. We were quickly served and spotted a table next to the roaring coal fire. We had one drink here before going on to search for a place that did food.

The pub and restaurant have now been taken over by a new management couple. We have implemented a full restaurant straight away, and hope that should you visit Weymouth again you will pop in for lunch or evening menu. Kind regards Sami More

Bought a pint of Directors, it came out ice cold. This is done so it can be sold past it's best. When I complained that Directors should not be freezing, you guessed it, 'we've never had a complaint before', meaning I was the problem. As I didn't like the vinegar taste I asked for another non chilled beer of which... More

Many thanks for reviewing the Kings Arms Pub and Restaurant Weymouth. The pub and restaurant have now been taken over by a new management couple..... One of which is real ale trained. The setup for real ales was not brilliant when we got here and now we have installed a freezer curtain between the two cellars meaning that the ales... More

Excellent food, would highly recommend sea food. Just called in on Saturday night during Fish Festival Weekend and enjoyed fantastic Mussels, Sea bass and loin of Cod. Brilliant waiter service, very attentive. Restaurant in basement so a little dark but very pleasant. First time just called into a hotel just to eat but would highly recommend.

We have visited this pub many times and there seems to be no consistency we had Sunday lunch, roast potatoes were mushy and the veg was undercooked. Bar staff are very good but management should look at the food being served as people will not tolerate poor cooking this will be reflected in the takings.?

Had Sunday roast again. Food was meagrely. Veg underdone. One thin slice of pork - very fatty. Roast potatoes mushy inside - probably over microwaved or reheated. Not good value for money. Partner had large roast - £8.99; I had small £4.99. Only difference was small slice of meat extra and at least two spoons of veg extra. We have... More

This review I'm writing is about the new dorothy inn on the seafront. I have been here a few times now, and only until yesterday evening I noticed a new gentleman, jeans and smart shirt, working behind the bar who was incredibly friendly and engaged with us as soon as we came into the pub. He was very knowledgable on... More

Since our last visit, which was not very good, we decided to give it one more try. What a difference! We had the small roast dinner as usual and it was delicious. Everything was well cooked and tasty. The bar staff were efficient and attentive. We will be back.

Do not visit this pub, the food is awful, truly crap! They either don't know how to cook or simply can't be bothered to try properly. We were not made at all welcome when we walked in. It was obvious to the drinkers at the bar that we were trying to order food & drink but they would not move... More
