Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel's Favourite
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel soooooo welcome!! Our room was a dream! Our bed was sooooo comfy with crisp clean bedding. And the bedroom furniture & wall art suited the room The bathroom was to die for soft white fluffy towels, hand soap & shower gel that smelt heavenly! And the most powerful shower shower & having the shower screen on hinges making it easier to get in/out the shower is simply genius!! The slight downside was the air-conditioning system which we couldn't turn it down below 19° during the night so we were awake most of the night as it was so hot & stuff. The receptionist the following morning was very apologetic for our disturbed night as she explained we can arrange for Reception to set the air-conditioning to turn down the temperature in our room at night as she pointed out the hotel manages the heating in each room. We ate our evening meals & breakfasts in onsite Beefeater restaurant. The service & food was impeccable!! Polite table servers, morning & evening meals well presented & hot. Unfortunately we weren't aware we'd misunderstood the 'meal deals' as we kept paying for our meals in the restaurant instead of charging it to our rooms to qualify for the meal deal which was a shame, but didn't detract from an excellent experience. It was our son's birthday which one of the table servers picked up from our celebrations. It was a pity the staff didn't sing 'Happy Birthday' on finding this out & maybe offering a son a complimentary dessert?? But overall, we had a lovely two night stay at the Premier where we would definitely revisit & recommend to family & friends!! Notice next to air-conditioner informing guests to contact reception if they need their room cooler of hotter during thd night. Communication between Reception & the Restaurant to ensure guests take advantage of the meal deal by it being explained thoroughly by both parties ro guests. A couple of things to consider:- Would be nice to surprise guests in the restaurant if staff sung happy birthday to guests celebrating their birthdays on the night of their meal & maybe a small complimentary dessert??

We stay at the hotel for two nights. Three days. The surroundings were full of rubbish and broken bottles. The grounds need to be cleaned and maybe add a few plants. On the second night, my husband and our eldest child were woken by loud movement on the second floor at 2 in the morning. Moving around and voices. This went on for an hour. I went down to complain at 3am! The man on the desk said sorry but they have only just checked in! I’m sorry but why allow guests to check in so late and be loud. On leaving, three staff members were all sat around. One with her feet up on the sofa! Not very professional. No one said goodbye! The hotel is a good location by car to the front.

Stayed Easter weekend. Rooms clean tidy and quiet. But I do have take ssue with the appalling way this site is managed. On arrival the lad on reception was by himself and due to a system issue was unable to issue key cards. Fair enough systems go wrong, my issue is the complete lack of support he recieved from his manager, leaving him to fend for himself with 20 unhappy customers. Staffing levels at this site are obviously company policy, but to expect one member of staff to cope with all check-in's alone especially on a busy bank holiday weekend , when each morning you regularly see 3 or 4 staff at reception when the full extent of check out is the return of your key card, is completely beyond me. Praise should be passed onto to the lad working on reception Friday and Saturday afternoon.

The QUALITY of the hotel room was acceptable. However, 6 hours to check in is far from acceptable. I wasn’t the only guest experiencing delays by a long way, many were, but I would be surprised if many waited longer. I arrived at 3.10pm and got into my room at 9.15pm. The reason for the delay was explained to me but that should be the company’s problem, not the guests’. I had paid for my room in full approx a month in advance, and was offered not a single penny refund to compensate for the massive inconvenience. Breakfast was chaotic due to the hotel being full and too many guests arriving for breakfast at the same time. The breakfast staff did their best but were losing. The final insult was putting my coffee on the table to join the queue for food, only to find that it had been ‘cleared away’ on my return. I normally enjoy staying at Premier Inn, but not this time.

We arrived on Good Friday to chaos at the check in but it was sorted by the lovely Rhiannon who not only did a days work but then had to clean rooms in the evening - well done her for making a bad situation alright - the rest of the stay - three nights - was great with what you expect from a premier inn - Thank you to all the staff

On arrival the bedroom was not made up for a family only one bed. Only one towel. Water mark's up the walls, carpet very tired. Room not serviced at all. Mentioned to receptionist that the room smelt of damp, but did not get any reply, as if she was use to the comment. Room smelt of damp, and had damp up and down the walls around the windows, and up the curtains. No ventilation, and filled with condensation in the morning, which brought on Asmtma.

I booked a premier plus room but sadly it was a little disappointing. The kettle, shower head and shower door were full of limescale, the hook on the bathroom door was broken, the toilet was badly stained, the hairdryer was rubbish, the carpet had been badly hoovered and bleach stained and there were marks on the walls. The only positive was having a fridge in the room for fresh milk!

Check in a complete shambles. Staff member could not use the check in system properly and took 10 or minutes to check in each customer. Claimed to have added breakfast to our stay but had not. Did not know how to supply WiFi access codes. (We were in a Premier Plus room and this is part of the package). Resolved most matters after several visits to reception and dealing with different members of staff. Not just us affected - others complaining about the shambles. Have stayed in this hotel several times before and everything has gone down hill. Minor items in expensive room not as they should be - poor maintenance. Dinner in adjacent Beefeater indifferent. Hot food at breakfast cold. Some breakfast items missing both days. Clearly a serious management issue here. Steer clear unless you need the location!

It is impossible to park at this hotel because it has become an HGV truck stop. Massive HGVs with generators and gas cylinders on board. The smell of diesel in the car park is overwhelming. The Receptionist telephoned his manager who was not in the slightest bit interested. Shocking! We’re stuck here for two weeks but won’t ever stay here again.
