Travellers' Choice
No. 98 is under recent new ownership, re-furbished throughout with love and the greatest of care, we want you to love our home as much as we do! Since arriving here in October 2020, as the newest owners of No 98, we have noticed how the sea in Weymouth Bay is always just that bit greener, bluer and brighter than elsewhere. The ever-changing, almost hypnotic seascape can be viewed from our lounge/dining area on the ground floor and from most of our rooms as well. We have created an exquisite space where you can unwind, relax and recharge – a space where the colours of the sea and coastline are drawn in and echoed throughout to produce a feeling of being at one with the beauty and tranquillity of the bay itself. Our newly refurbished rooms are decorated in fresh clean lines with elegant blues and greens complemented by crisp white bed linen. We have 5 sea facing rooms, and 4 Courtyard facing rooms. We are a 2 minute walk away from the train station and locally there is a wealth of amazing restaurants and pubs within walking distance. We offer substantially reduced parking permits which allow a whole days parking for just £5, these permits can be used in three main car parks, one of which is directly behind our hotel in the Royal Yard. All of our rooms are en-suite and have free Wi-Fi. We look forward to welcoming you very soon to No.98. Suzanne and Derek

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Derek and staff were the loveliest people we have met! It was such a lovely hotel, warm and inviting ! Comfy bed and great facilities ! A step away from Weymouth beach which was so handy! Breakfast time was my favourite as our chats with Derek and his team made a great start to the day! and the food was so delicious! We will definetly return to this hotel!

Amazing rooms and view, fantastic hosts and superb breakfast. We visited in November and came back in march, this is the only place we will stay in Weymouth as it’s lovely. Rooms all have king sized beds and are spotless . Tea and coffee in all rooms and you book a slot for breakfast that suits you so you have a fresh cooked breakfast. Loads of choice and plenty of fresh hot toast.

A friendly welcome awaits you at this lovely boutique hotel. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. Breakfast was superb with so much choice including a veggie option all cooked to perfection. Situated just opposite the beach and beautifully decorated with a beach theme colour palette the whole vibe of this little gem is so relaxing. We will be back!

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at No 98. Derek made us feel very welcome & was very knowledgable about the surrounding area. The hotel is decorated perfectly to reflect being by the seaside. Our bed was so comfortable & we had lots of tasty breakfast choices.

5 star boutique hotel full of character, and joy. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and inviting. We slept well and woke to a wonderful view of the sea, and an even better breakfast. The hotel is opposite the famous clock tower and across the road to the sea. Perfect location for visiting Weymouth and all its attractions. We will definitely stay here again.

Showed up at 8 pm without a reservation based on a recommendation from a random person on the train. Rang the doorbell and the owner Derek came down, said he would check if rooms were available for one night (it was questionable because of early next day arrivals). We're glad there were! This little hotel is a gem, wonderful hosts, efficient and updated rooms, very comfortable beds with a selection of pillows (soft or firm). Asked for a dinner recommendation and were directed to a really tasty seafood restaurant a short walk away. Breakfast is included and seating times are staggered for individual attention and freshly made to order. If you don't want an "English Breakfast" you have choices although I went for it. Best scrambled eggs I have had. Terrific location, a short walk from the rail station right on the promenade. Highly recommend, will be back.
