We had a lovely weekend at Riviera. The location was superb and all the staff were so lovely and made our stay even more enjoyable. The outside could do with a refurb but it's winter so actually wouldn't make sense to start now!!!! The rooms were well equipped with everything you need and actually quite impressive for a 3 star...

We checked in on Monday, yes the rooms and exterior need a lick of paint but the room was clean, tidy and very warm. It's also very early in the year. The staff were friendly and we chose to eat our evening meals whilst we were out. Breakfast was hot, tasty and plentiful on both mornings. The orange juice had...

Was very disappointed The outside of the Hotel is shabby. The pool looks as if it has been derelict for years the grounds too. The entrance was more promising. We had to pay upfront which is not the norm. Room was ready and after negotiating the the steep steps with our luggage went to the outside second floor right to...

This hotel was a bit out of the way from the town centre, but with a fast and friendly taxi service at £6.50 each way (which the hotel went out of their way to find for us) no matter how many people or what time of the day, you can't complain! The room was lovely and clean and warm, the...

The hotel is a long way from perfect. Its origin is as a Pontins and that becomes clear with the rooms that are quite chalet-like. They are however perfectly clean and functional. Could also do with being painted and lit better. Lack of double-glazing means that sound carries a lot so the lady trying to get into someone else's room...

This former Pontins hotel is to be avoided. Although located in a great location it needs demolishing and rebuilding. Room 119 like most - or perhaps all bedrooms - is reached from outside the hotel rather lie a motel. Rooms have little or no thermal insulation and despite refurbishment for the Olympics, are depressing. The shower rooms rooms are a...
