Just returned from a fantastic weekend away at this hotel. The staff are so helpful and lovely. The rooms are spotless and stunning. We really enjoyed using the local spa free of charge by staying at the hotel. We would recommend and will certainly be returning.

Myself and my partner visited Windermere and decided at the last minute to stay overnight. Our usual hotel was fully booked but we struck gold when a room appeared at The Cranleigh. I had heard good things so we booked it and showed up there half hour later. Our room wasn’t ready

Great B and B in the middle of Bowness. Rooms were lovely and the breakfasts were superb. Very convenient for all the bars and shops and we thought £128 was very reasonable. Great parking front and rear. Will definitely return. Staff were lovely.

We stayed in the Sanctuary which was a separate building at the rear of the hotel. The hotel reception was lovey with an open fire and Prosecco flavoured diffusers which smelled delicious. On approach to the suite we were slightly anxious as from the outside it’s very normal loo

We stayed in suite 10 for our wedding anniversary. The room is amazing with a massive bath and super comfy bed. The breakfast was very tasty with a good selection to choose from. The Cranleigh is only a short walk into Bowness and the afternoon tea in the Fizzy Tarte is highly re

Thinking of visiting my boyfriend in March. Which rooms would be best for 2 people considering we would like a hot tub/ spa bath sort of thing?
I’d book a superior / luxury room. And make use off the free access you get to the ‘Burnside Hotel and Spa’ - check their spa out on here, it’s amazing and like I said you get free access with staying at the Cranleigh. It’s 2min walk on the same road as the Cranleigh. There is a big pool with jets, 2 hot tubs, steam room and sauna. And a pool side bar 🥂👍🏻. Otherwise you’ll need a suite that is 50% more expensive to have a spa bath / small hot tub. 👍🏻

Depends what you like to do, but there is plenty around for either relaxation or more active.

Is the sanctuary suite located at the main hotel, or is it slightly off-site?
Yes it is on the same site at the main hotel. The Cranleigh team.

Have all the luxury rooms got a jacuzzi bath?
Hello, All rooms in the Luxury category have single air spa baths then our suites have bigger spa baths. Some of our smaller superior rooms also have baths. Please see room numbers below. Superior with baths 7,11.13 Luxury 5,6,9,12,14,16 I hope this helps

I need some helping deciding what Superior room to stay in. I'm debating between Superior Room 7 and 11. I quite like the idea of the spa bath and although the baths in these rooms aren't for 2 people, can two people fit in them? If anyone has stayed in either of these rooms, i'd be interested to hear your thoughts? I'm also debating upgrading to Suite No. 10. Is it worth paying an extra £100+ a night for this room over the superiors?
Hi, Thanks for your question, The spa baths in both 7 and 11 are the same size and are for 1 person only however the question of whether 2 people can fit in really depends on the person :-) Suite 10 is gorgeous and in my opinion worth the upgrade as the bath is larger and it has a mini bar on arrival, private balcony and colour changing lights.

"Room 11 is small, as well as 12, loft rooms are a little tight ask for the bigger rooms if they have them available."
"Defo go for The Sanctuary Suite, very quiet and peaceful"
"Ask about lifts and which room would you be allocated."
