We decided on a break over Christmas and despite currently Covid restrictions we managed to stay a week.
We we're warmly welcomed by reception staff who explained what and were we are staying.
We stayed in apartment 47 a two bedroom apartment, both bedrooms are on suite and beds and massive and comfortable.
The living room includes the kitchen and is a large size with a dining table.
The appartment overlooks the Marina and is ideally located for Windermere lake, Bowness is a ten minute walk away.
Took us a while to get the heating to work satisfactory due to the location of the thermostat and a radiator located nearby, my tip turn it up high.
Ideally located to tour the lakes, we would certainly like to return one the Covid restrictions are lifted.

Ideal location. Lovely views over the marina. Only 10 minutes walk into Bowness. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer x comfortable beds. Covid19 safe. Dishwasher tablets was supplied with washing up liquid, bin bags, cleaning cloth and tea towels. Felt safe could only enter car park with a flob. Could only enter apartment by two doors. Would highly recommend it

We stayed at the marina for the second time, this visit being with our dog. Our first floor apartment was lovely however we didn’t appreciate the access would be 14 small open tread wooden steps outside and had wrongly assumed it would an indoor carpeted or covered staircase.
Our dog could not climb these owing to his age and also he’s scared of open steps so needed to be carried up and down which wasn’t ideal.
Plenty of Covid precautions such as sealed remotes and kitchen items left in a Tupperware box - don’t quite understand why some things were supplied (washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets) but Covid meant they couldn’t supply coffee pods or toiletries?
Great walks all around and you can hire paddle boards etc v close by and also jump on the ferry for £1 to cross the lake

Dear Maryios, thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at Windermere Marina Village. I'm sorry to hear that you're dog couldn't manage the stairs - the description of the apartment on our website does detail the external staircase but I will discuss with the marketing team rewriting this part of the property page. Unfortunately we have taken the decision to stop supplying coffee pods, tea and coffee as we were experiencing a large amount of wastage following our reopening in July and these items cannot be cleaned or reused. The small bathroom soaps that were previously supplied should have been in the box with the other items - I apologise if these were missed out for your stay. I hope that we can welcome you back to Windermere Marina Village soon - please don't hesitate to call the team if you have any queries regarding a future booking and the suitability for you dog. Best Regards Hannah

11 Marina View – fantastic 2 bedroom apartment with amazing view across the marina. All the latest appliances and fantastic smart TVs. Nicely furnished inside and out with cushions supplied and stored in the utility room for balcony furniture. Washer/dryer combo made life slightly easier with baby. Onsite parking facilities were great, especially allowing 2 cars. The short walk into Bowness and surrounding areas makes this an ideal location quiet yet 10/15mins from the centre. The Boathouse restaurant offered a good selection of tasty dishes. We sat upstairs which also has a great view. We can definitely recommend for families.

We had 4 nights at Windermere Marina Village, staying in Windward Townhouse 15, a 3 storey house with lovely views over the Marina, and right next to a small beach with picnic tables and barbecue area and a jetty. The house itself was spotlessly clean, with everything you need provided for your stay. It had superb views from all rooms, and 2 balconies, one off the ground floor bedroom and one off the kitchen, both with patio furniture. The main bedroom on the top floor has windows on 3 sides, very airy and spacious, although because of this there are no wardrobes in the room, but that didn’t bother us. It’s extremely peaceful and quiet both during the day and at night. The rooms in the house are all large and bright with patio doors and a Juliet balcony off the living room. One added bonus was that although the keys were not available til 4pm, you can check in earlier and leave your car there, plenty of parking space. It was a lovely (unlit) lakeside walk into the centre of Bowness, just cut through the public car park at Ferry Nab. You can also walk along the main road, but it’s also partly unlit on a night so is very dark, we made sure to get back in daylight. We had a lovely stay here and can highly recommend both the site and the house, and would definitely stay again.

We stayed in apartment 32 this time around at Windermere Marina Village. It is very tired and could do with maintenance and updating. The apartment was clean and tidy with all equipment you need but some of the issues definitely need addressing. There are 2 bedrooms. The double has a sleigh bed which means if you are over 5’ 10” tall it’s very uncomfortable in length. The double room also has no dressing table ( no room) so consequently the tv is actually in the other bedroom that has single beds. Why the tv could not be mounted on the wall in the double room is beyond me. There is also no coffee table in the lounge to put drinks on. The bathroom has no surface near the sink to store toiletries on and nowhere to hang the hand towel other than on the heated radiator which is the other side of the basin and toilet.
On the plus side Windermere Marina Village is in an ideal location and the food served at The Boathouse restaurant is very good indeed.

We stayed at number 48 with our dog. Very happy with the apartment. Everywhere was spotless and the complimentary parcel of dishwasher tablets and tea towels etc was very handy. The apartment was very spacious and had a lovely view from the balcony. It was near the restaurant but we had no issues with noise or smells from there. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but did have takeaway pizza from there and that was tasty. It was a 10 minute walk into Bowness which was absolutely fine and safe. Really enjoyed our stay here. Why pay the same price for a pokey b&b room when you can get all the space of this apartment?

Spent 4 nights here this month,. Spotlessly clean and certain measures in place due to Covid but no issues at all. The accommodation is immaculate and there is everything you need. We stayed last year and we have now booked again to go at the end of September this year again. It's a dog friendly accommodation and that's great for us with 2 Jack Russells. Bowness is only a 10-15 minute walk away and a good exercise for the dogs before you get to the pub for your food and drink.. We had pre booked The Albert for all the 4 nights we were there and even with a reduced menu you definitely would not starve and the food was excellent as was the service.

Just returned home from a lovely 7 night stay in one of the cottages (No. 2) I really can't recommend this place enough! Cottage was immaculate, spotless and we wanted for nothing. Even with the current covid restrictions in place, and certain things having to be removed prior to arrival, we still had a very comfortable stay. Perfect location, just a 10 minute stroll to Bowness where there is lots to see and do. The onsite bar/restaurant (The Boathouse) serves great food and the staff are very friendly. Already planning a return visit.

Just returned from 4 nights in apartment 43 at the Windermere Marina Village with family of 6 adults, 3 children and a 3 month old. Absolutely fabulous apartment, very spacious and clean and exceeds the photos on the website. We had a couple of minor issues at the start but these were quickly remedied so not an issue. Lots of crockery and cutlery. The bedrooms are so spacious and especially the top floor room which was occupied by our 10 year old Granddaughter who loved it.
A nice easy off road, 20 minute lakeside walk into Bowness every day to enjoy a lake cruise and to catch the open top bus so car not necessary every day.
Would highly recommend this apartment and hope to return in the future.
