We were really looking forward to this break after looking at the rooms online. We were not disappointed! Clean, modern and very comfortable accommodation.

The suite we stayed in had a view of the lake at the back and the local pub at the front. The location is spot on. Only a street away from the main bustle but that was enough to ensure that night time was really quiet. An added bonus was the parking permit issued on arrival as we were able to park in other towns for free! It did get very busy during our stay so we were lucky enough to find parking on the road close by for a couple of nights.

Excellent service from start to finish with an eco friendly approach to housekeeping. For example; recycling bags for plastics etc and not changing towels daily which in most cases is very unnecessary. Beds and linens were very comfortable.

Fantastic choice of bars and restaurants but you should probably book before you arrive to be sure if a table. We can highly recommend Jacksons which is a minute walk from the room! Outstanding quality food at reasonable prices considering what others were charging for fried pub food.

Vickie, Marie and James clearly have a lot of experience in hospitality which is evident in the excellent model and standards that they maintain at the Bowness Bay Suites.

The adult only accommodation and flexible breakfast arrangements really suited us as we could truly please ourselves all week! I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in Bowness on Windermere.

Enjoyed a 3 night break in Bowness made even better by staying at Bowness Bay Suites.
We book Hill Top Suite which was on the top floor.
Beautifully decorated and cosy. Comfy good quality bed and bedding.
Great view over the lake.
Ample continental breakfast brought to room, with warm croissants, toast, cereal etc
Bowness Bay Suites are in a good location. Very close to shops and lake but just far enough out not to hear any noise.
Parking is at nearby Belsfield hotel so not a problem. Just get a voucher from the suites and take to reception at hotel.
Would stop here again without hesitation.
For eating out I highly recommend Porto and Jackson’s Bistro.

My daughter booked us a weekend away as our Christmas present and we went this weekend. The staff who greeterd us on arrival were really welcoming and pleasant. We left our luggage and went to park our car with the voucher that they gave us to place in our car which was £2.50 per day. We stayed in Catbells Suite which was on the top floor and it was really nice with a view over the lake. Breakfast was brought to our room both days which was continental. It was a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this place to others. The locations was great - we were within walking difference of all the facilities.

Stayed here for 2 nights in the Elterwater Suite. What a disappointment! I would agree the suite has quality furnishings however from the pictures on their website I I expected to be able to sit at the small table shown in the photos and look out of the window at the pleasant view. Forget it because you feel like you are window dressing, or fish in a goldfish bowl! We had to keep the shutters down the whole time because you look right out onto the pavement with people walking past ALL the time. The view out the back is no better, I could have climbed out the window onto the roof. (see attached photos). Bed was comfortable and lovely thick towels in the bathroom. However, the only toiletries supplied were a body wash/shampoo and conditioner, both in dispensers and one shower cap. There was no body lotion, tissues ir make up remover pads, things I would expect from a luxury suite. "Breakfast included" - crunchy nut cornflakes or cornflakes, muesli, chocolate brioch bun, strawberry yogurt and orange juice. Same on both days. The whole experience was very underwhelming.

Me and my wife sbsolutely loved our 3 nights stay at these Suites. The Langdale suite was very spacious and comprised an open plan bedroom leading into a seated area with table facilities. Was extremely clean with towels changed daily. The fridge was replenished daily with new fresh orange and milk.
The owner, Barney, was a very friendly chap and could not have been more helpful.
We loved the town of Bowness itself, a fantastic location beside the Lake with a great selections of shops, bars and restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation.
The Suites are highly recommended, 5 start review from us!

This place was so nice! The young man who greeted us was pleasant and helpful, he helped carry our suitcases up to the room (we travelled from Australia and were road tripping so had quite a bit!) The room was sooo spacious yet cosy. I think it felt extra special in the rain, having the fire on and warm lighting with the charming decor...it just made it!
We were asked if we wanted breakfast delivered at 9am or 9:30am I think? Either way, we are early risers so it was a little disappointing there wasn't a earlier option but we just popped down to get a little something from a cafe. When breakfast was delivered it was fabulous. It really gave you a sense of living there as opposed to a hotel room.

There is only one downfall and that was parking. We had read online the parking was "across the road" at another hotel however upon arrival we were directed 200 metres away so we had to pull onto the narrow sidewalk to offload our luggage and go park which was not a good time in the rain. If you don't have a car, much luggage and sunshine then it would be fine.

Having said this, highly recommend and would do it all again.

We got engaged during our trip to Bowness and staying at Bowness Bay Suites made for an absolutely perfect romantic weekend.

This is a wonderful B&B and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Bowness. Our room was spacious, airy, clean and beautifully decorated. Eating breakfast in our room with the balcony doors open with Lake Windermere in view gave our stay an extra special something. We were in perfect walking distance of restaurants, shops and the ferry but it was still quiet and peaceful in the evenings. Parking was easy as they share with a hotel nearby and we had no trouble with this for the whole trip. Highly recommended!

We stopped here for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary, we stopped in the Catbells Suite, it was fantastic. The room was spotless, its in a great location, the top floor has lovely views overlooking Lake Windermere. The weather was also perfect which was an added bonus, we enjoyed wine at the juliette balcony overlooking lake windermere while the sun went down, it was a truely enjoyable stay. The photo was taken from our Catbells suite on the top floor.

Wonderful two night stay. Bang in centre of town. Beautifully decorated suite in large open plan room (king size bed), seating area with TV, small fridge, small table for two alongside balcony window. Lovely bathroom. Breakfast hamper with yoghurt, cereals, pastries, oj and facilities to make hot drinks (even pint of milk in fridge). Car park permit used at main public car park so easy access although busy on arrival mid afternoon so had to wait for space. Really great accommodation. Made for a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days. The weather was awesome too. 🌞

Owner was very helpful and the suites are very good very spacious the views over Windermere especially from our suite are very limited, nice comfortable bed and very warm when using the heating, the car park is 5 minutes away and for £2.50 can’t grumble but I do think this cost should be included in the booking fee, think the bathroom towels and bath mat have seen better days and maybe a new purchase of towels would be nice, strangest thing about this place is that it’s an adults only place but your not allowed to have a takeaway back to your suite ? Can’t see the harm in it considering it’s an all adult venue. Overall a nice stay and great sleep and will recommend although I wouldn’t stay again as I’ve been and seen.

Thanks

There is a hotel called The Belsfield just before The Bowness Suites, which the owner of Bowness Suites will give you a card to put in your windscreen to park for free!
