Me and my partner stayed for one night in room 23, the room was absolutely beautiful and so clean! We had our own private balcony that looked out onto the lake and was located just 30 seconds away from the spa area and we used the pool, sauna and steam room which all were amazing and so comforting. The staff...

This used to be our go to refuge in the Lakes. The last few years has seen a steady decline. from service to the quality of food. I couldn't even say our latest trip was our worst due to the fact we never even got to stay there. We were shunted out 24 hours before our arrival due to overbooking....

Dear mg1970671, I appreciate thre feedback given, even when you were not able to stay at the hotel. The hotel had been exclusively booked for that weekend already for 10 months and we are not aware how it was possible for any agent still to book any room for the same weekend. When contacting the agent, in order for us...

The hotel was located very close to Windermere lake so a short walk to a trip on the many cruise boats the tour the lake. In brilliant sunshine one day so we were able marvel at the changing autumn colours which this year seem to be especially good. The hotel was welcoming and the staff very helpful and friendly and...

We booked the feature room direct on the Macdonald website after browsing the room types and deciding we wanted a little luxury. The photos shown online for the feature rooms where right up our street and we paid a premium rate for what looked to be a beautiful room. Following a pleasant check in we were given the keys to...

I stayed over for a week in Windermere. thought I'll book in this hotel for a massage treatment to end my holiday. Staff at spa charged £60 for two 30 minute treatments, which I thought was good value for me and my Mrs. Arrived to treatments one hour early and used spa area first which was ok, soon to arrive...

Lovely hotel, great location to walk to pubs & restaurants & very friendly staff. We used the swimming pool, sauna & steam room both days & for a large hotel it was surprising quiet which was nice. Our room was great, wonderful comfy bed too. The hotel is a little tired but this does didn't spoil our stay at all....

What a gorgeous hotel, perfectly located for everything in Windermere. We were given a beautiful room (232) which was huge and so comfortable. We enjoyed drinks in the lounge overlooking the lake and were very impressed with the service. We also used the spa facilities which were excellent. The hotel charges £20 for valet parking per night which was a...

My husband and I booked in for a pamper treatment. We paid £30 each for a 30 minute massage session. When we got to treatment room we were made to wait for 15 minutes and offered water.
