The country house is not exactly in Windermere and its entrance is on the main road but country house it's well looked after feel like home.... More

What a lovely, charming place ! From the minute we arrived we were made to feel so welcome -nothing was too much trouble. The staff we all so friendly and the rooms were super, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The sherry on the mantelpiece was a lovely touch,as was the nespresso machine! Pretty gardens ,so very peaceful, looking forward to returning.

This is a very elegant family-owned hotel. Our room,Windermere, was large, comfortable, spotlessly clean and very nicely furnished. Most of the Kennedy family seem to have been trained in immaculate service, whether on aircraft or super-yachts. As a result, service is perfect and the whole experience is like being cosseted in a First Class cabin. Our breakfast was delicious. We... More

The first impressions from the Trip Advisor reviews, website and telephone enquiry were all very encouraging, and I can safely say that our expectations were exceeded. A delightful and wonderfully situated house, spacious and comfortable room, great food and excellent service. We stayed at Lindeth Fell for one night as a base for introducing the family to a little of... More

What a perfect choice. Just a short distance from the local and charming town with an abundance of good restaurants. The bed and breakfast was probably the best we have ever stayed in. A wonderful house large and full of character. The staff couldn't do enough for us. It was our Silver Wedding anniversary and the room was decorated with... More

Myself and partner stayed here the weekend of the 14th Oct for a short break. Very well-kept house, maintained much in the style of the 1940s I imagine with gleaming stair rods and silver-style teapots etc. Staff (some of whom may have been owners?) were very polite and helpful, and were clearly took great pride in sharing their lovely property... We stayed for two nights at this delightful bed and breakfast. The booking was made by our friends who enjoy the atmosphere of a B&B. I think we far prefer to stay at an establishment with its own restaurant as opposed to venturing out to find somewhere to eat in the evening so my review is coloured by our personal... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay with us. This is a difficult one to reply to! I think you booked through booking.com where we are certainly listed as a bed and breakfast. The confirmation letter we send clearly says we don’t serve dinner and offers to recommend and reserve restaurants for you. It is... More
