The guest house takes you back to the good olde days when proper gentleman with walking cane greets you. Well, that was my first impression when i entered the great house. The family that owns the property had been civil servants during the colonial era and had much history to be proud of. The place is clean and proper. Sincere...

This is an absolute gem of a hotel in the Lake District. Mrs Kennedy, her family and staff provide exceptional hospitality. The hotel is very comfortable, lovely room, stunning views and amazing food.

We were not staying here and had not even booked our lunch here. We had in fact booked to go to Linthwaite House. When the friends that had booked our lunch arrived there they were told we were in fact booked at Lindeth Fell a few minutes down the road. We duly arrived and had not in fact been wrong...

Took my 83 yr old Aunt, friend and her foster daughter for afternoon tea. We thought the hotel and view were beautiful, but for £13.50 a head expected better food and service. Sandwiches had obviously been made earlier and were going rather crisp- staff said it was because they'd been cut too close to the crust but that wouldn't explain...

We stayed at Lindeth Fell for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everything was excellent. Our room (Rydel), the gourmet food, the quiet and dignified ambiance, location to Bowness et al were all in line with, or exceeded, our expectations. Can highly recommend this hotel for a stay in the Lake District.

We have visited Lindeth Fell in the past for afternoon tea which was beautifully served in the lounge overlooking Windermere and we recently returned for Sunday lunch. The weather was gorgeous so we had pre-lunch drinks in the garden. The choice of menu was varied but also had the traditional Sunday roast and no-one was dissapointed with any of the...

Staying three nights with our 7 year old grandson...it has to be said from the outset...and at risk of being deemed o.t.t....we have yet to stay at a hotel where all facets of the experience of comfort, cleanliness, service, welcome, and the best food ever, combined so seamlessly. Sheer joy! This is what 5 star hotels should aspire to. Not cheap...but excellent...
