We have just spent the night at this lovely place. The garden view rooms are bright and spacious with a little balcony. Clean and fairly modern also. Beds super comfy and a very homely hotel. Each room has its own little parking space too. Breakfast was superb. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were so attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast room was set out lovely. Fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals to begin with. Tea and coffee on tap and fresh fruit juices all available. I had the eggs Royal and my partner had the Cumbrian breakfast (fry up) delicious! I will definitely be staying here again! So glad we chose to stay at this hotel whilst visiting Bowness. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the middle of the lake front which was perfect for us. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have just spent the night at Burn How hotel and it was perfect. The staff are so welcoming and friendly such a joy to speak to. The bar area is also a great place to chill it's also spotless. Breakfast was amazing and again nothing was to much to ask for with the staff. A very short walk down to lake Windermere and the shops bars etc. Really can't wait to revisit here. Thank you for our stay.

I have stayed here many times over the last four decades and every time its a treat. Lovely big rooms and bathroom………..excellent service. Nice cuppa and cake in the afternoon. Also you can park up and walk into Bowness in no time at all so you can go on trips on the lake etc., without worrying about finding a parking space. Definitely will go back its a real treat. X

Stayed just for one night as we were visiting family on holiday. Didn't know what to expect- wasn't sure what a garden room was. It was perfect for us. A small room, away from the hotel with a bathroom and its own parking space. Opposite the reception building. It did smell musty when we arrived- a leaky radiator it seems so smelt damp. We didn't mention anything as we were only staying one night and with windows open we could air the room. (could do with a fix to get rid of smell) The room itself was clean and well equipped with tea and coffee and the beds so so comfortable. It was lovely in the morning to open the door and step on the patio. Nothing is too much trouble here. We arrived and were met with a wonderful welcome and great humour. Dorothy was working late when we came back after a day out and had a drink and was back there at breakfast. She chatted with us and made us feel so welcome. At breakfast, which was amazing, there was so much choice and a great quality. The ladies serving were attentive offering more coffee, toast etc... and checking you had all you need. I would definitely go back- a lovely tranquil place in the lakes but close enough to Bowness. Thank you.

Lovely location and very quiet due to the trees and well maintained garden that surrounds the hotel. Bed was very comfortable with high quality linens and duvet. Breakfast offered a good selection of fruits and cereals with excellent cooked options. Public areas were really pleasant and offer a great view of the garden. Very close to Bowness with good shops and some excellent bars and restaurants. The only negative comment….the bedrooms could do with a little maintenance. Only saw two but repainting and re carpeting would improve things. Really appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff.

If you are looking for a hotel in the Lake District then you should stay at Burn How gardenhotel. All of the staff were very professional, efficient and super friendly. Our room was really spacious, the huge wardrobe was a pleasant surprise. Large bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The main part of the building included a reception area, lounge and breakfast area. Breakfast choices were enough to please anyone. 5 minute walk into the lovely town of Bowness. You'll be spoilt for choice for somewhere to eat and drink. Try the Tap room, The flying pig and Royal Oak. We can highly reccomend them. Big thank you to the staff at the hotel for making our stay perfect...
