I'm so glad I found this gem of a hotel. We have stayed in many of the hotels in the Lake District area but this one is our favourite. We unfortunately only stayed one night in a hot tub suite. They are beautiful and very relaxing, some overlook the Lake ours overlooked the garden. We ate in the bistro which was amazing, a lovely menu to choose from. The staff were very friendly and professional. We had an amazing breakfast delivered to our room in a hamper. We had a lovely walk around the hotels grounds. Will definitely be going back.

We stayed here for a weekend and it was absolutely amazing. The views at the best we could find from the garden. The weather wasn’t great how the hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. We stayed around the hotel for much of the day relaxing.

I got Married At Storrs Hall on the 26th of march, and let me tell you, this was the BEST decision me and my partner made. We wanted a small micro wedding, so we booked a just us Package and after contacting Storrs, speaking to Oliva and Julia they were more than happy to accommodate our numbers (10 guests because it was off peak). after booking everything with them we started to notice what sort of experience this would be. They sent us a card at Christmas from the team, it felt like they were just as excited about our wedding as we were. When we arrived, the hotel was stunning, everything clean and crisp and everyone working showed a smile that could only be described as genuine joy to see us, we were about to book in and our room was ready 5 hours before normal check in time. we could relax drop off our stuff and start our wedding celebration. over the days we stayed there the Team at Storrs really made us feel like family more than guests, the team would converse with us at breakfast and when they saw us about the hotel and really went above and beyond what I could ever expect of a Hotel. Even gave us a small token gift for our wedding that let left in our room with a card from the team. Me and my now husband will not hesitate to stay here again, may even save up to do so soon! We love it here and if your thinking of this venue for your wedding...look no further.

I really wanted to give 5* because everything started so well however our last night was ruined by noise levels from the adjoining room. The hotel itself and location are beautiful… it couldn’t be beaten. The breakfast was fantastic, service and staff in general are excellent and really good quality ingredients. I did find it strange that the kitchen couldn’t make an eggs royale despite all the ingredients being available on the menu separately but no deal breaker. We ate in the bistro which was good and took tea in the lounge on a couple of days, complimentary home made biscuits was a nice touch. We stayed in a superior room which was huge, comfortable bed and good bathroom. My only advice to others is to avoid an adjoining room, which I didn’t realise when I booked. Our first two nights were lovely however we couldn’t relax in the evening of the third night due to noise and were woken at 6am the next day due to noise levels from the family next door, so it really was a disappointing end to what was meant to be a a relaxing and calm break for my husbands birthday. This is not an adult only hotel so I fully expected families however I think the hotel need to consider where they accommodate guests and the adjoining rooms just don’t offer enough sound proofing.

The bedroom was beautiful and the bed incredibly comfy we didn't want to leave! The grounds are absolutely beautiful so definitely worth a walk around, views are fantastic. Would 100% recommend and come back, we had the best time.

Just back from a second stay at the lovely Storrs. Our last visit was during covid so we weren't sure how different it would be. We stayed in a great 2nd floor lake.view room , great view , really comfy huge bed and lovely bathroom with walk in shower and bath. We checked in early as when we arrived, the room was ready it was spotless. Had afternoon tea for lunch at 1230 and the team adapted this with no issues for my husband's diet needs. Our experience of both the bistro menus and the lakeside restaurant were great, we couldn't really choose between them, but the relaxed bistro is maybe more us. All the staff were helpful, friendly and very welcoming but a shout out especially to the lovely Ocean who served us both nights and one breakfast, she is fabulous.

We did choose Storrs hall for our elopement and we couldn't choose better place. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Location is absolutely perfect and even with rain on our day we got the most beautiful photos. Lake suit absolutely gorgeous, luxurious room. Food delicious , breakfast and dinners totaly amazing and always fresh. We had my mother with us who is lacto and gluten free so is always difficult for her to find something what she can eat and also is tasty - however here she had always plenty to choose from and everything was she had was tasty and hardly to recognised that it was dietary. Whole experience was like living in fairytale. Storrs halls has a special place in out hearts and definitely will be visiting for our first anniversary ❤️

We booked this hotel last minute based on the reviews and couldn’t have been happier. Hotel is gorgeous with high quality fixtures and fittings and a very comfy bed. Walk in shower was luxurious and bonus to get a huge bath as well. We had a garden view room which was enormous and included £50 credit for dinner. We ate in the lake edge restaurant; food was delicious, not a lot of choice but there’s also the bistro if you want more informal dining. We had the quail for starter and the lamb & halibut for mains, all delicious. Amuse bouche and cheese nibbles all very tasty and desserts to die for! The waiter was very attentive in a good way, mentioned it was my birthday and he brought a happy birthday plate with petit fours. Lovely bar area for drinks & hot chocs. Breakfast the next morning was just as good with plenty of choice. Only one minus was that our room was on the second floor and there isn’t a lift, but that was all I could find fault with! Highly recommend & will definitely be our go to again when visiting the lakes.

A wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Me and my husband haven’t been away for a while due to my ill health so we were looking forward to a relaxing stay somewhere a little special for our 5th wedding anniversary. Storrs hall did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Josh at reception to the cleaning staff every member of staff are pleasant, helpful and welcoming. A special mention to the young man behind the bar who catered a drink just for me as I can’t have certain ingredients. I didn’t get his name unfortunately ( blonde haired) . His service is impeccable and a real asset to storrs hall. I can’t fault one single member of staff. Breakfast is some of the best we have had. It gives the likes of Grantley Hall, Rudding park and the Grand at York a run for their money. I would like to thank all of the staff at Stores hall for their warm welcome and making our much needed break memorable. Can’t wait to return hopefully for longer next time. Thanks again Mrs Edmond Alsop
