I stayed at this beautiful B&B for valentines weekend with my boyfriend, and we could not have picked a more lovely place to stay! Everything about Fair Rigg was brilliant. The scrambled egg was the nicest scrambled egg I have ever had and the service was excellent. Christine and Ian are wonderful hosts and are so helpful when it comes...

We stayed at the Fair Rigg for two nights in December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Ian & Christine were great hosts, very welcoming and very knowledgeable of the local area. The room was spacious & spotlessly clean, although a little on the chilli side after dark. The breakfast was great, good quality and the choice was a refreshing change...

We sadly only stayed here for two nights but our time at Fair Rigg was just divine. Set in a picture perfect part of the world, the actual bed and breakfast fit well into this setting. From the welcoming hosts, the gorgeous rooms (including the most incredible linen), selection of great DVDs to watch after a day of hiking, being...

Spotlessly clean, freshly-decorated, warm, quiet, very comfortable and friendly guest house just outside the town. Our room, second floor double, had views over a field and trees up the lake towards Windermere. The bed was comfortable with soft sheets and plenty of covers if it had been cold and the room was large with a sofa so we could use...

After looking at what seemed like a million places to stay in the Lakes (well, perhaps half a million), Fair Rigg was eventually selected for our short break in August. It was an excellent choice. Ian and Christine were outstanding hosts and the property provided everything you needed - the bedroom was comfortably large enough (we stayed in room 2),...
