First impressions were good.Clean and pleasant room, and nice staff. We were in room 3. Sadly the floorboards in the room above creaked terribly with every movement, which really disturbed our night. Then, the bed in the room above squeaked badly!!!. All a bit disappointing. TV was also tiny and ancient. Nice place but floorboards need some attention, and that...

Stayed at The Woodlands for one night in Jan 2017 and the experience was good. Checkin was simple and receptionist made us feel really welcome by asking us about our journey and what we had planned during in our stay. Room was nice well furnished, bed comfy and warm. Couple of bits needed attending too in the bathroom, but it's...

We stayed at woodlands for 2 nights recently, this was a gift from our daughters for our 25th wedding anniversary. We have stayed at The Woodlands twice before and have always enjoyed our stay, but this time I have to say we were very disappointed. Our room was room 3 at the front. The room was quite tired, with the...

Had an amazing weekend here with my partner. 4 poster room was fabulous, really warm and cosy. Breakfast was fabulous as was the location. Easy walking distance to both Windermere and Bowness. Perfect in every way - thank you. Already planning a return trip

We stayed at woodlands for 3 nights recently, having decided on a short break to the Lake District. The rooms looked truly stunning and though the place had a bit of a mixed reaction on TripAdvisor we decided to give it a go. It's a short walk to Windermere itself, and a little bit longer walk to Bowness but is...

We stayed at Woodlands for one night but enjoyed our short time there. Staff were attentive, friendly and made you feel at home. Our room on the first floor was a good size and very clean. It is in a great location and we would stay here again when visiting Windemere.

The worst hotel ever. 5 star outside.. Rooms are 2 star We were constantly woken at 6am every morning with the sound of pneumatic drills. We found out it was the kitchen starting up for breakfast I thought it was a helicopter hovering above the roof the first night. Horrendous

A clean and friendly hotel. Rooms are comfortable and have all amenities. Beds are comfy with decent pillows. Breakfast is excellent that will meet most tastes.n Extra toast and coffee offered. The hotel is mid way between Windermere and the Lake at Bo'ness. Good bus service but the walk is pleasant about 20 minutes.

Stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids, the hotel manager & staff could not have been more helpful. They even bought us breakfast down when we were having our hair and makeup done! Room was beautiful - would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.
