Ordered this a few weeks ago when first advertised, came 5 min early, lovely and hot, large portions, nice starters of mushrooms and breaded Camembert, roast beef was tender and very tasty. Great to be able to get food delivered in these strange times, can’t wait to start coming back again.

We took a class of Year 4 children to camp for the night on Piel. What a wonderful place with friendly and extremely helpful staff. The children were safe and happy - finding crabs on the beach, making art on the wonderful beaches, building boats, swimming in the sea and enjoying being outdoors. This island has magical powers! Quiet children found their voices, agitated children were calmed, they learned a lot and most important they had FUN! The staff at the Ship Inn couldn't have been more accommodating. They provided us with excellent meals, a lovely picnic and a constant flow of juice and drinks. We can't thank them enough for their support in making these memories on Piel ones the children will never forget.

Got a recommendation from a friend -it is very local but a while since we've been. The staff are very friendly and polite and the service quick and efficient. They have a set menu for Sunday roasts or you can order from the normal menu, but we were really looking for a good Sunday roast so ordered from the set menu. We both had roast beef - lovely thick slices served with large yorkshire pudding, mash, roast potatoes, cabbage, carrot & swede mash and cauliflower cheese, covered in very tasty gravy. I don't think we'd have got through 3 courses (for 13 pounds) as we so full. Could not fault the food or service at all - pub itself was a bit cold, but we were there soon after opening and the heatinghad just been turned on. Would highly recommend.

Although not very glamorous to look at (especially on a damp & windy day) the food was great here. Fabulous fish and chips and mussels - huge portions. Then the best veggie breakfast I've ever had. Everyone very friendly too.
