another very enjoyable weekend at the Abbey place was spotless as usual staff very helpful The light display entering the hotel is brilliant The we had dinner in the Alfresco Dining Area which was very cosy with the heating and lights on the service was good considering how busy the hotel was meal was very nice The only glich ( Was Not a the Hotels fault ) was a large group of people who would not control their children who were running around jumping on some of the furniture a member of staff did speak to the people asking for the children to be careful but they never bothered but this has not put us off We will certainly be back at the Abbey

Fantastic experience. The building is stunning, the staff are really friendly and attentive. Our room exceeded expectations, with a really comfortable bed. We dined in on both evenings, at Oscars Restaurant, superb food and excellent friendly service. Breakfast was also excellent. I would definitely recommend and will visit again.

Stayed in the hotel last weekend and cant rate it highly enough. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who was really helpful, friendly & informative. The room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and enjoyed it so much we decided to eat again on the Saturday. The restaurant staff could not do enough for us and the food was as good as I have had in a long time, could not recommend it enough.

Very comfortable stay with ample parking. Set in beautiful grounds. Warm welcome at reception. Our room was hot but a fan was provided. The restaurant menu offers a good selection and everything we ate was fresh and tasty. The breakfast is excellent. Well worth a visit if in that area.

We got married at Abbey House Hotel and Gardens in October 2023 and could not have asked for a better day. We chose Abbey House after attending a wedding open day in Autumn 2022 and being very impressed with the room set-up and wedding coordinators Laura and Lauren. We then booked our wedding and Laura and Lauren were always on hand to guide us through every step of the process. They took time to get to know us as a couple and had a real understanding of what we wanted from our wedding day. As Abbey House has strong relationships with local suppliers, Laura and Lauren were able to work with others on our behalf, which took a lot of stress out of the wedding planning. On the day itself, Laura, Lauren and the team at Abbey House were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. They ensured we and our guests had a fantastic wedding day in a gorgeous setting with excellent food and entertainment. We are so glad that we chose Abbey House for our special day. Had 2 nights including our wedding anniversary on first night. Memorable stay & excellent meals, nothing to complain about, all expectations met. Only item which might cause concern to some, is lots of weddings & disco noise until midnight on such nights. This is made very clear on website & I did check it out before our stay, so was fully aware of this when booking.

Stayed her last minute night away for our wedding anniversary, when we arrived the staff had placed rose petals and a little card on the bed that just made the experince that touch better, absolutely stunning hotel and grounds , staff all over the hotel ery friendly polite and welcoming. Had room service from Oscars gorgeous food and was still hot when arrived , breakfast was lovely and staff couldn't do enough for you. We will definitely be returning for another break away. Thank you so much for a lovely wedding anniversary.

Couldn't fault a single thing. Booked a last minute child free overnight stay. Stayed in the classic deluxe room which was £88 with breakfast. The rooms are very spacious. Classic with a modern twist. Plenty of tea coffee biscuits, etc. The bathroom has a big walk in shower. Our room looked out onto the beautiful gardens. The bed was really comfy and there was no noise to be heard from other guests. Staff were all really helpful and friendly. We ate in Oscars restaurant in the early evening and the food was absolutely outstanding as was breakfast the following day. Would highly recommend this hotel. Being from Barrow its good to know we don't have to travel far good quality accommodation and food.

Booked for one night, didn't expect such luxury for what was a price for an average hotel. First, the grandeur of the building, then enter into a very appointed hotel. Room was fabulous with all, and more of the requisites required for a comfortable stay. We dined later and the meal was excellent, an obvious chef prepared meal for each diner. My thanks to Mike, the manager who gave me a little tour and history of the beautiful place. He most certainly demands a very high standard, which is so evident. If only it was nearer we would no doubt be frequent visitors.

Wining and dining was the highlight of our stay in Oscars restaurant OMG !!!! the food was fabulous and so was the service the bar manager was exceptional welcoming and friendly made us feel very comfortable and relaxed, he made us some amazing and I mean amazing cocktails ...we will be back Oh yes !!!!!
