This is a quaint Guest House close to the train station and eateries as well as shopping. The owner, Ian, is very pleasant and accommodating . The rooms are clean with ample room for comfort. The beds are wonderful and cozy. The only draw back is the shared bathroom which services a group of four rooms. Not to my comfort level but many travellers would be ok with that. Very clean. Would recommend.

Ian was warm and welcoming as always. He managed to squeeze me and my daughter and her friend in for the night at very last minute after swapping other guests around to accommodate us. Clean room and clean shared shower room with shower gel and shampoo provided. The beds are like marshmallows soo comfortable. Breakfast is all so amazing Ian went out to get my daughter Rice Krispies for breakfast Highly highly recommend.

Stayed here for 2 consecutive week ends for work. Ian the owner has a very comfortable B & B convenient for the rail station, buses and town centre. Everything in the room was what you expect and spotless. The shared bathroom was again spotless with a variety of soaps. Rooms are on the upper floors and normally face the rear from what I could see so very quiet. Actually good access to the Southern Lakes which is about 40 minutes. The T V had all channels available so plenty of choice. Opposite is a huge park but I didn’t have time to investigate but it looked attractive from outside. I’d definitely stay again if in the area again.

Booked over the telephone after reading good reviews. Arrived. Parking a nightmare. Met the owner who was pleasant..we had to remove our boots at the entrance. We were showed our rooms. They were very old fashioned. Cold too. The carpet on the stairs and landing felt damp and looked stained. There isnt enough toilets for the amount of bedrooms. The toilet was filthy and had to ask owner to clean it as I had the freight of my life when lifting the toilet seat up....omg. Shower cubicle very small. Sink was tiny and struggled to wash hands in it. Overall very poor and wont be staying again

A comfortable home from home. This is probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed. I usually don't stay in guest houses, prefering hotels. I choose Maindee for the close location to the railway station. I am glad I did. I will stay again The hosts were friendly and there were chocolates on the dresser by the front door for guests to help themselves too. The bed was very comfortable .
