Bowburn Hall is an ideal location to stay when visiting Durham. Food is average, drinks quite expensive plus side staff are friendly and lovely garden. Overall a decent hotel in a good location to visit local attractions

We had our wedding here and we could not have been more impressed! Everything was perfect, Charlie (the manager) and Callum (the assistant) are unflappable and are always In control, staff are personable, the venue is beautiful and the food amazing! I cannot speak more highly and we will definitely be returning soon!

We attended our sons wedding at Bowburn Hall and stayed overnight. The wedding event from arriving, the ceremony, reception and evening was fantastic and we really enjoyed it. We asked if we could check in early with the wedding being all day this was no problem, when we went to the room it was very small and cramped not good...

I had Afternoon Tea at Bownburn Hall three times between Oct 2015 and Jan 2016 because it was great value. However, last Monday when I took another friend we were disappointed by the poor value. The price has increased but the portions have been reduced. The cakes are tiny compared to what was on offer previously and the trifle option...

I regularly stay at this hotel on business. Its in a quiet area off of the main roads. The hotel rooms are nice and clean. Rooms are cleaned daily. Decoration is quite modern. Some slightly nicer than others. The gardens are big, nicely landscaped. Play Park to keep the kids occupied. Lovely in the summer. Hotel often has functions and...

We went for an early evening bite to eat, there was a good atmosphere in lovely surroundings, just outside Durham and just off the motorway - so handy...

What a gem. Stayed for 1 night bed and breakfast. The service was very helpful and friendly, my room was very pleasant, spotlessly clean with good amenities and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. I had a really pleasant and comfortable stay. Great value for money.

Came here for Sunday lunch with my husband on spec one afternoon. There was a wedding in full swing in the function room but they still managed to find us a table. Ordered the trio of meat Sunday lunch and a beef dinner to be told there was no beef left. Ordered double pork as the third meat and turkey...
