Stayed at this Travelodge for two nights at the weekend in March. We arrived rather late at night but the lady on reception was very pleasant and helpful showing us to our rooms which were in a separate building. This Travelodge rather unusually occupies two adjacent buildings. On the outside the buildings are of character fitting in with the local...

It was our first time to Durham as it was our 2 year anniversary. A lovely hotel in an old Railway Station building with an annexe which we were in & could take the car up to. We got an early check in & on arrival to the room I found out my husband had ordered flowers which were on...

The room I was in stuck of smoke. I was kept awake most of the night due to creaky floorboards and thin walls which meant I could hear peoples phones ringing and vibrating. No staff around at the times when I wanted to report this. No phone to call reception to tell them. Lack of food choices and facilities.

The bed was far too uncomfortable! And the noise from the staff on the morning was horrendous! There was 4-5 cleaners huddled outside my door at 8 in the morning having a chat and laughing when I was sleeping

Nice quiet stay and the staff were cheerful and helpful. There was ample parking. Convenient for City - approximately 10 minute walk. It would be great if there was somewhere serving breakfast a little closer to avoid the 10 minute walk into the City. Overall, very happy and would certainly stay again.

Very conveniently located, just off the A1 (M) and within walking distance of the city and with ample free parking (avoid driving into the city if possible: it's very small and parking is expensive. Also, restrictions apply at the weekend due to the market). The only member of staff we met was the Receptionist who was extremely welcoming and helpful,...

The old Gilesgate station, about 10/15 minutes walk from the centre. Hotel staff really pleasant and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable, and a free car park. In terms of value for money, could not be faulted, and would definitely stay again.

This hotel lived up to expectations. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. It is close to town and you can get varied and reasonable breakfasts at the local Wetherspoon. It is a popular location at busy times of the year. I would stay there again.

Nice clean room, very spacious. We had a family room and everything was fine my wife would have liked a hair dryer but apart from that everything was fine. We have stayed in this hotel before and find it is not too far to the city just a mile along the river or if you prefer down the claypath road....

Booked this travelodge as we had tickets to theatre. Bought in Xmas sale so was a bargain for a Saturday night in a city centre We were in the annexe, you could actually park your car right by your room for free 10 minute walk to the theatre I'm sure we had a giant staying above us, the banging about...
