My family have been staying here for nearly a decade with leaving people off to Durham and picking them up/graduation. There hasn't been a bad stay that I can remember. It's always comfortable and spacious. Special mention must go to the restaurant attached to the hotel, sensational value for the food you get. Never mind walking to town every night,...

A nice building for a travelodge and spacious room but the car park was very busy. The access code changed every day which we weren't made aware of. My room had the bed made during my time there but the bin was never emptied even though it was full. The teas were never refilled either. It's a 10 minute walk...

The hotel was good value, good location, comfortable, friendly staff, no problems. We have stayed here several times before and will be back. Durham is a great city to visit and the hotel is 10-15 minutes walk from most of the town.

Our second visit to Durham and booked at travelodge again as it is in a good location and great value for money. We arrived 3 hours early and we're allowed to use the car park while we walked into town. The friendly receptionist also advised that we could use our room and hour earlier than the usual check in time....

we arrived to a smiling face on reception and were directed to a warm and welcoming room, the room was clean, tidy and with an added bonus of a view towards the cathedral, only a one night stay this time but will return if in the area again, can recommend the "sambuca" restaurant next door for a freshly cooked evening...

Excellent stay - stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Hotel delivered exactly what was promised. Impressed that there was parking on site too. It was clean and the room was very large. There was even a bath!

Stayed here a couple of times now for a night out in Durham. It's got free parking and a lovely restaurant (Sambuccas) attached. It's basic but just what you want. The downside is the walk back up Claypath bank after your night out.
