From Booking to Departing, Duncan and Hayley are wondeful hosts. We booked in mid July and they had a £20 Deposit only due to the pandemic which is a great idea.
On arrival we were a few hours early but we were able to park in our spot only 150 metres away in the car park which comes with the room. (this is a great addition as parking costs are generally high). We got into our room early too.
We booked a Family Room (for 4) for 4 nights at a cost of £400 including breakfast which for mid August is great value under the current circumtances. The room was adequate in size and was spotless from start to finish with little extras on top of the regular tea and coffee offering of bottled water, hot chocolate and ice packs for the coolbox which they provided in the room as well as 'wash stuff' in the en-suite. Whilst the en-suite was small (which Duncan told me at time of booking) it is adequate and furnished well and like I said spotless throughout.
The breakfast offers a great start where you can have almost whatever they have. I had a Full English each day and the others had anything from just coffee, cereal and toast to Fried Bread and Hash Browns - Duncan and Hayley obliged on each occasion. Perfect start to the day.
You can see that whilst it has the look of a typical B & B, it is more than that. Mainly due to those few little extras, its cleanliness (including all social distancing rules being adhere to) and mainly the wonderful hosts who really are top drawer!
Thank you for making our Short Break in Paignton wionderful.

Duncan & Hayley are very friendly proprietors, and fantastic hosts.

The Kingswinford Guest House is in a brilliant location , a short walk to the seafront and the town.

The Rooms are extremely comfortable and clean with a kettle and tea, coffee and bottled water replenished daily. There is also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room if needed.

Breakfast was fantastically cooked (full english, not the cornflakes), and they even went out thier way to provide a 'special' breakfast for our 7yr old boy (I'm not saying what it was because everyone will want it).

You are also welcome to use the Dining Room in the afternoon / early evening, should you wish to bring hot food back with you.

Oh, did I mention the FREE parking? Duncan and Hayley also offer FREE parking spaces in the multi-storey at the end of the road.

Overall, we had a fantastic 4 days there and strongly recommend this B&B to anyone going to Paignton, just watch out for Victor!!!! (only kidding Brian)

Gaz, Jules and Tayt xx

We arrived at the Kingswinford to be greeted by Ducan and Hayley who showed us to our room, it’s nice a lovely room, with en-suite which is spacious and spotless, the room was spotless with tea and coffee facilities and a tv, there’s also a desk in the room for my partner to do his work from, a lovely comfortable bed and chair, in the mornings they do a breakfast bar also a beautful filling English breakfast, you can always ask for what you like if you don’t want a full English, always coffee and Tea on the go. You can always use the dining room in the evening if you want a takeaway. Duncan and Hayley are a wonderful friendly couple who made us feel welcome. We are having a lovely time here. Definitely a place to stay if you’re visiting the English Reviera on business or pleasure. Thankyou so much for hospitality

I visit Paignton several times a year to visit family and like to stop and this lovely bed and breakfast family run hotel. Hayley, Duncan and Dad Brian give the warmest of welcomes and nothing is too much trouble for the to make you comfortable. Breakfast is great and they cater for dietary needs which is so good as I am vegan.
If you want a reasonably priced place to stay which has a home from home feel about it and is within minutes of the seafront on one side and the town centre on the other -then this is place to stay

Two night stay. Greeted on arrival with tea or coffee. Free car parking. Excellent breakfast. Great hosts felt very welcome and as part of a family as all other guests were friendly. Very close to the sea front. Packed lunches available if requested. Lovely spacious rooms.

I have visited this hotel many times when catching up with my relatives in Devon. Trains and buses are a short walking distance away as are the local shops, beach and other amenities. Hayley and Duncan are always very welcoming and their rooms always provide everything you need for a comfortable pleasant stay. Breakfasts are a real pleasure and substantial. The washer upper (Brian, Hayley's Dad) is ready with a smile and laughter and if you are lucky you get a hug. This is a home from home place and I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Paignton. Look forward to my next visit! Thank you.

Amazing place, wonderful hosts, who could not do more for you. Very clean and tidy. Beds were comfy and sturdy, bathroom very clean, although will advise if your on the larger side like me, the shower is a bit of a squeeze, but lovely strong shower. Close to beach front and local pubs. Also close to a lovely large park area. Communal fridge on the first floor is ideal for keeping drinks cool. The place also offers lunch packs for an additional price, if you are going out for the day. All in all a nice quiet clean and tidy place. Thanks for the stay.

Stayed in Room 1 - accessible - for the weekend of the Airshow. Hayley and Duncan were fabulous hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they made us feel welcome. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. The parking was a bonus. Will definately be going back to stay again.
