This is a lovely holiday park ideal for families or couples / singles
The park is very dog friendly, there are a few parks dotted around for the kids in each section
There are several shower blocks / toilet facilities which were kept clean and tidy, they have about 5 toilets and 3 showers in though so to avoid queues go early on.
There is an outdoor swimming pool with a baby pool and jacuzzi attached but be prepared they are freezing !!
There are changing room facilities by the pool and the pool is life guarded.
There is a shop on site also a little burger bar area which serves eat in or take out burgers and pizzas
There is also a kids arcade upstairs and also a bar area upstairs.
You can bring tents / caravan / trailer tents there are also chalets and clamping type pods. Some have electric hook ups some don’t so make sure you state what you need
There is a dog walking field which you can let your dogs off the lead and there is a bin on the gate for dog bags - please use it as the off few didn’t and it spoilt it for people like me who pick up there dog poop.
Dogs are to be on the lead at all times there are lots of kids and dogs about so best to keep dog on the lead and can go to the field if you want to let them off.
No drones or kites as there are over head electrics across the fields
Park is very friendly, they give you a dog tag when you arrive for your dogs collar stating that the dog is staying at the site in case it gets lost, which I thought was a good touch !! you can take dogs anywhere on the park except for pool area but there is seating around the pool where you can sit with dogs
The main reason we came here was they allow Rottweilers and we have three friendly rotties who we take on holiday every year, there were no breed stipulations which we were very pleased about, I am apart of a large rottie community and I will definitely refer people to look at this site !!
Paignton is about 15 mins away from the site
Brixham about 20 mins away
Lots to do and see, hope I have remembered it all !!

Booking was super easy and our booking changed a few times before we arrived; but staff were always friendly and really accommodating both on the phone and in person at the park. The park itself is really nice - it wasn't as busy as these holiday parks can sometimes get. There was a lot of open, green space and my daughter loved the playparks and the pool especially. We ordered the takeaway breakfast a couple of mornings and each time it was spot on, and we ordered takeaway from The Hatch a couple of evenings and the food was so good - I definitely recommend the fries and the chicken goujons! As for our accommodation, the lodge we stayed at (Foresters Lodge) was immaculate and really stylish. The gifts for our dogs were a lovely treat! The view out the back was amazing and the hottub was divine. It was really quiet and spacious and we really enjoyed our time there. There were two downfalls to this particular lodge, though, which did unfortunately impact on our stay: The mattress in the main bedroom is tired and was quite uncomfortable, which was a shame because the linens and pillows were very plush. Also, the wifi is really tempermental and kept dropping every few minutes, which made trying to book activities on the park and elsewhere a bit of a hassle (and with Covid you have to book in advance at most of the local attractions in the area so I spent quite a few hours trying to manage bookings because the Wifi kept dropping out). The one night we tried sitting to watch a film on Amazon Prime it kept stopping to buffer every couple of minutes so we had to give up. The wifi issue is probably down to location, as you really are in the countryside here and the peace and quiet when sitting out on the deck almost can't be beat. The Wifi issues I could live with, but the mattress really needs addressing before I book a return visit to that particular lodge. If the main bedroom mattress was replaced, I'd book my next holiday here again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for your feedback – it’s great to hear you enjoyed some many aspects of your stay. We are very sorry to hear of your problems regarding the mattress as this is one of our newest lodges. We will of course investigate and share your feedback regarding this with the lodge owners. We are sorry to hear you were struggling with internet access. We have recently made some improvements and now have access to fibre optics which has greatly improved the speed and reliability of our complimentary WiFi service. Once again, thank you for your review and we hope to welcome you again soon.

Arrived on the Saturday and we were greeted at the gate by a very chirpy full of life guy that then passed us to Chris who led us down to our pitch..... I went to check out the toilets and showers as I take the Covid-19 regulations very seriously and I was pleased to find everything was taken care of and rules and regulations followed 100%. I particularly liked these facilities because there were certain cubicles that had the toilet and sink all in together so you didn’t need to mix at all with anyone else at the sink areas etc.
We didn’t use the takeaway but could see plenty of people were using it tho so that speaks volumes.
The pool facility was being ran on a strict booking system should you require the use of the pool.
All in all the site staff have everything covered to make you feel safe as long as you also help by adhering to the rules in place. These are difficult times for everyone especially sites that are even open. I for one was grateful that they had taken the hygiene guidelines very strictly.
I would like to add that writing negative reviews about any site should be taken with a pinch of salt by anyone reading them given that when you click on the reviewer and read their ALSO negative reviews about elsewhere that they have stayed can only mean one thing to me. Think about it people.
I for one will be back to stay here, well done Whitehill Country Park.

We had a brilliant stay here for four nights with our two small children. The staff were all really friendly and all the amenities were kept spotless which we thought was great under all the restrictions, the measures in place around the swimming pool made it really safe and easy to use.
We had food from the bar/restaurant on one evening and it was really good with large portions.
We will definitely be returning in the future!

weve just spent a week at whitehill country park the park itself is very nice but we rented warren lodge advertised as a luxury lodge and we paid nearly £900 for a weeks holiday the outside looked very nice but the inside was not up to luxury standards , the controls on the ensuite shower didn't work the shower would change temperature when it felt like it and the other shower well it was more like a hosepipe because the shower head was broken and it leaked all over the floor hence the smell of damp , we did complain to the reception but we were told that they were having trouble with the owners of warren lodge so there wasn't much they could do they did put some silicone in the shower but it didn't make any difference. the carpets were filthy and the walls were very dirty and the windows were filthy . if they were having a problem with the owner why were they still renting this property out . the site was clean and tidy and the staff were nice but i still think if they was a problem they shouldn't be letting this property out SO DO NOT RENT WARREN LODGE .

We were full of great expectations when we arrived at Whitehill Country Park, set away from the hussle and bustle of Paignton. We were greeted by friendly reception staff and views over the site including the good sized outdoor swimming pool.
We were escorted to our pitch in the most exposed area of the site, at the top of a hill, on quite a steep incline.
Now, I know that no one can prevent the great British weather, but attempting to pitch a tent in gale force winds was impossible and we ended up snapping 2 poles which resulted in a trip to purchase another tent!! £400 later and 6 people helping with managed to set up our home for the week.
We decided to eat at the "restaurant", it wasn't pleasant and it certainly wasn't the cleanest. There was a very strange odour, like sewerage all around the entertainment area. It was a "wipe your feet on the way out" kind of place. On the plus side there was a pool table and a wide variety of drinks. The food was overpriced for the rather greasy and somewhat uninspired food.
The amusements were very amusing as half of the games were broken, there are things for the older children to do including another pool table and table tennis.
After 6 hours driving, 5 hours putting up a tent including purchasing the new one we were glad to get to bed.
Rain isn't good when camping but rain and an electricity pylon overhead is even worse!!! The noise of the moisture hitting the wires was so loud that sleep was never going to happen, however the soothing sounds of the owls was lovely at 3am!
Having no time the previous day to visit the supermarket we waited until the on site shop opened to get our bacon and eggs for breakfast. It's a great little shop, well stocked with essentials and the staff are very friendly. I was expecting to see more locally sourced produce but what we got was OK. There are plenty of local supermarkets close by for a larger selection.
The facilities are great, showers are really powerful and if you go 1st thing in the morning they are very clean. We had a drinking water tap very close to the tent which was handy and the washing up station only a short walk away.
I want the only one to notice the "divide" between the "upper class" caravan area and the "lower class" tent area. The caravan area is in the valley so protected from the elements, the children's play area is c significantly better and the walk to the entertainment and shop area is significantly shorter.
To sum up, would I stay here again? Definitely not with a tent!! There are other sites in the area that would be better suited to canvas dwellers.

Loved pretty much everything here. The facilities are great we had a cabin with hot tub. Very nice welcome prosecco waiting for us too. We would like to come back next year or soon after with our extended family. So much to do on site and in the local area, great for kids.
Only downsides - expensive to eat in the bar and food very low quality, we were surprised because eveything else was so nice. The ‘stonebake’ pizza was £14 for a supermarket basics base smothered in way too much cheese our child couldn’t eat it. Frozen burgers and chips very cheap tasting. Cost £60 for two adults and a 5 yr old to have a main only.
Having said that about the food, we would come back and enjoy the bar/entertainment but would have meals off site or get a takeaway
The new indoor pool is fab but please clean the changing rooms they were so so filthy, the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in weeks and the surfaces/ toilets were terrible. Such a shame a new facility is not being cared for by the staff.

Really lovely place, lots of procedures in place to make you feel safe. Nice clean facilities that weren't busy so hot showers always available.
If we went again, we would ask for a pitch that was away from the toilets, play area and bins. This kept us awake a lot as people made lots of noise then the seagulls would scavenge for food around 5;30am every morning. It's not the parks fault as people left the bins open but it would be nice if they could think of a way to deter the birds.
Nice clean pool. Hard to get into as you have to book online in the morning but by the time you log in, spaces seem to have gone for each day. Annoying when people don't turn up for their slot.
Would definitely go back. Children absolutely loved it. Staff very friendly.

What a lovely place. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the entertainment team were great. Everything was spotlessly clean. The small touches really make this place the things you don’t notice unless you look hard, everything is thought about. Down to the hot tub man coming everyday to service the hot tub to the cleaner walking round on arrival day just to freshen up the already cleaned accommodation with dusters and air freshener. The drinks onsite are very reasonable priced, cheaper than in town. It’s so peaceful, dark and quiet on-site that you wouldn’t believe you are literally a 5 minute drive from a main road with McDonald’s, KFC, sainsburys, Lidl to name but a few. Perfect location to explore south Devon from, my favourite was Salcombe, what a gem that place is and the beach there, wow! All in all will definitely be back, little slice of heaven in Devon.

Booked a large family group holiday (7 different units) at the begining of the year in order to have a family get together after such a long time of being apart. Only 2 of the units were next to each other with the others being over 3 fields. Unable to move us as 'were full'. Accepted this but still spoilt the holiday a bit.
Were told when pitching not to pitch or park in the fire breaks which we followed, shame lots of others didn't, lots of tents, gazebos, windbreaks and cars parked over the fire breaks, no one was told to move anything.
Too many pitched for the facilities available, 1 shower block in the tent field with 4 toilets, 3 showers (ladies) 3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 urinals (men's) for possibly over 100 pitches. Could have hired extra wash facilities.
Lots of noise both late night and early, people still playing loud music till 3.30am on very tight pitches, didn't see any night patrol to quieten people down.
Night time venue too small for the site, people having to queue for hours to get in with a max limit of 60 due to fire regs.
No toilet at the outside pool, again you could hire a facility, with only limited time in the pool where do you think kids are going to pee if you say they've got to get out and walk round to the shop area. Paddle pool freezing never saw anyone in there.
Woodland walk was overgrown, even 2 adults with a dog couldn't get through.
Cars were speeding especially past the shower block, lots were going to the lodges in the field past the tent field, possible speed bumps or just some 'slow, watch for children' signs.
Builders on roof of the new swimming pool heard swearing, totally unacceptable within a family camping site.
Positives - good shop for size, staff friendly, nice soft play, nice food although limited menu, good entertainment although sometimes a little too loud (had to leave 1 night) magician wasn't worth the over 1 hour wait to get in to venue.
Love the area and were looking for a good site to be able to return to each year, unfortunately it won't be this site.
