Clean and comfortable B & B close to the sea front, with cafe, restaurant and bar nearby.

We particularly liked the lounge where we could sit together as a family and play cards in the evening, with a desk as good Wifi for my husband to work on his website.

Bedrooms were very good with a twin room for our son and granddaughter which had a double and a single bed, my husband and I had a double room. Beds were comfortable, could have done with another pillow but I am sure we could have had one if we had asked. nice hot shower in the morning.

The highlight of the stay was the breakfast, with Colin cooking it fresh and being very attentive to out needs, especially for my husband's gluten free diet.

Would definitely recommend this one.

My partner and I (Lisa and Lee Cleary) stayed here for the 4th time again this summer and absolutely loved it (as we always do! ). The hosts are fabulous and cannot do enough to make you feel happy and welcome. Cliff (one of the hosts) has an AMAZING sense of humour and made us laugh and smile constantly during the time he served breakfast (which was absolutely delicious).
The rooms we have stayed in have been perfect for our needs and kept extremely clean. Tea and coffee always refilled. There is lots of parking too which is an added bonus. We will DEFINITELY be returning soon as we would never want to stay anywhere else in Paignton.
Thanks so much Cliff and Cathy for another wonderful stay!

'er indoors & i stayed 31st july-9th august. Had rm 5 on 1st floor, absolutely spot-on. Compact but adequate. Good shower temperature & pressure. cliff & cathy lovely couple, and place was extremely clean. Perfect breakfast of your choice, cooked & served fresh & hot. What more could one ask for. Good atmosphere & service. Highly recommended*****. Good friendly food pub in same road (Captain Jacks)... Having read previous reviews on here, i would say if one expects 5* hotel facilities, go stay in a 5* hotel & pay 5* prices. Many folks don't appear to have enjoyed a holiday unless they find something to complain about.🙄

The wife and I stayed here for one night- room 8 - as I was running in the Torbay half-marathon. The room was ideal for our purpose with a good shower, bed and tea/ coffee making facilities. The owner, Cliff, was very helpful and could not fault him.
My wife had a very impressive breakfast and all in all it was all good !

The old saying that you get what you pay for definitely rings true here.

Not going into too much detail but after the first night of three, it's the first time we've ever checked out early.

Noisy, had to wipe surfaces, and the bed wasn't great either. I even heard someone fart through the paper thin walls.

Basil Fawlty, come back, all is forgiven!

Decent location but hotel is tired and needs renovation badly. We stayed for two nights and that would be my limit. Parking is also limited and although this hotel is near the sea Seagulls seem to frequent this area and cars and pavements, etc are covered with their droppings. Over all would not return or recommend sadly.

recently returned from here after a lovely weeks stay.
we had 2 rooms(double and family) which were very clean with plenty of tea/coffee supplies.
i noticed some people have had issues with small bathrooms and sink in the bedrooms. you have to remember these houses are old and originally wouldn't have had en suites so it's a case of if you want an ensuite that is the deal and to be honest i have been to other guest houses with similar set ups. same goes for the saniflo toilets if you want an ensuite loo that is the deal they make a noise nothing you can do.
car parking was no problem we used both the front and back areas with no issues.
on to breakfast well what can i say except well done cliff and cathy. great breakfast, with extras if required!
great hosts made us very welcome, would definitely come again.

Last minute booking due to attending a funeral. The rooms were clean, tidy and adequate. We had a double bed and twin bed and the room size was adequate. We used the shower which was hot but not very powerful but did the job after a long drive. The owner was welcoming and friendly, allowing us to keep the car parked longer then our check out time, which was very much appreciated. The hotel is at the end of the street with a public car park at the end, rates reasonable £3 over night if needed, but parking free if a space available, but just beyond that was the railway line and although you could hear the trains going by it wasn’t that loud or off putting. All in all a lovely place to stay again.
