Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My review won't do the owners justice for this lovely little guest house, to say they go above and beyond is an understatement, lovely friendly people who make you feel like your visiting rather than a paying guest. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, tea and coffee for all dietary choices including oat milk, and flavoured tea. Breakfast was fantastic, you help yourself to cereal, fruit, juice etc, and then they bring your breakfast which you order exactly what you want and how many you want, needless to say my partner was very happy with his mammoth full English. The location is perfect, a short walk to the sea front and a 5 minutes walk through the park to the high street. Loved this place and if we come down to paighton again I hope to stay here again .

Nice warm welcome on arrival. Great location. Breakfast was the best - black pudding fried bread so many don’t do it. Highly recommend right in middle of everything but out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Will be back. Thanks

Beautiful fresh breakfasts with homemade bread. Everything seems so fresh and tasty. A wide variety of other options included other than full English. Top marks for having black pudding and fried bread which is the best I've had! Couldn't fault any of the breakfast items! The room was nicely decorated, almost like a show home it was very modern, hot drinks and stuff to go with them as well as yummy biscuits everyday is a nice treat as far better variety than I've had from other places. Great offroad parking and the location is great for catching the train or other public transport. Such friendly hospitality and felt like a right family with all the guest equally as friendly. Beds are comfortable. Well worth visiting if you're looking for a base with an amazing breakfast and excellent hospitality.

I come from Paignton and this guest house is on the level and very accessible to the seafront, town, and Victoria Park. It is even a walkable distance from the railway station. Vicky and Ian are excellent hosts and keep a spotlessly clean, comfortable, and warm welcome, giving guests a feeling of being a part of their home while you are with them. The breakfast cannot be faulted - When visiting Paignton next, do try The Clivedon - You won't be disappointed.

The wife and I selected this guest house having read the reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was clean and had all the amenities you could ever need. We had an ensuite room. Both Ian and Vicky were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, as were the tea making facilities in our room. Lovely touch. Free WiFi and free parking. Excellent guest house Thank you both. Hope to see you again.
