Oh my...firstly go for a sea view room...I was in the tower and I fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing against the wall in front of the hotel...the view is amazing, you can't get closer to the sea! And let's be straight...the decor is old fashioned, the staff eccentric, the service is friendly in a traditional bygone...

This hotel is perfectly placed; the beach is right outside the door. The service from all is genuinely friendly and the food is delicious but very reasonably-priced. I recommend a stroll across the beach immediately after breakfast; the early morning dog-walkers are very sociable. What more could you ask?

We had a lovely stay at this traditional Hotel. Our room was large, clean, modern with an excellent bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. The indoor swimming pool was an added extra with a Jacuzzi and steam room, all extremely clean. As we were on a dance weekend, we had both breakfast and dinner in the hotel, both of which were delicious...

Fantastic building you can feel the history. Food in the bar is good, I had a steak and chip and a local ale. Will be back next month. Stayed in 101 sea facing, dog walking in the winter, free parking, great silver service breakfast with a chef that can poach eggs( not all of them can).

Stayed for a weekend in Feb. The hotel is undergoing renovations and is starting to look good. All staff are extremely friendly and happy to help. Room had not been renovated and was extremely dated. Had to send a meal and drink back due to quality but staff happy to replace and we're extremely apologetic. Think will be much better...

Not child orientated, hot plate served for child in high chair, too bigger meals and sweet served in tall glasses, also no co-ordination on service, having to wait for courses to arrive when everybody else had nearly finished theirs
