What a great place to stay, we were greeted when we parked the car and firstly shown the area out the back to run the dog and it just got better from there on in. Shown to our room which had a small fridge with both milk & water, the proprietor Mike asked if we wanted a cup of anything even though there was a kettle with many different teas, coffee & chocolate for our use and duly returned with a cup of tea and biscuits. the room itself (room 2) had a private bathroom, which had a jacuzzi bath and a shower that included a steam option on it, which was well explained in the booklet within the room and this also included various local restaurants etc as well as the dvd's that were available, of which there was many for all the family. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was even wine glasses and tumblers for use in the room. The breakfast was as mentioned before all cooked fresh and there was plenty of it along with all the usual cereals, fruit juice, pastries and a home made granola yogurt compote that was delicious.. From the time we arrived on the Friday until we left on the Sunday nothing was too much and we were made to feel extremely welcome and free wifi as well. If you want to leave the car the bus route around the bay area from Torquay to Brixham is down the bottom of the road and Preston Sands is no more than a 8 minute walk. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay.

This was our second stay, but in different times. I phoned to make my booking and was told I would be contacted the evening before arrival with the details of how the stay would work, which they did. There is a key safe to collect your key and you let yourself into the room. There was a book with details about the stay. Room3 was well appointed and spotless, with a table and chair. The views from the windows are amazing. We slept well and in the morning texted our breakfast order as instructed. The breakfast was really good and delivered to a table outside our door. The smoothie, fruit and bacon and sausage sandwich I had was excellent and set us up for the day. We plan on going back to Paignton and staying at Yew Tree house again very soon. Just to mention there are a lot of stairs in this B&B, so if you have difficulties with stairs probably not for you.

We stayed here for one night, it is a lovely place, spotlessly clean with many thoughtful touches such as bathrobes and toiletries, a fridge in the room with water and fresh milk, a corkscrew and wine glasses and coffee machine. We booked room one which is massive with a sofa and massive very comfortable bed, there is even a telescope to look out to sea.The room also has a lovely balcony with table and chairs to take in the fabulous sea view. You can walk down the hill and get a bus into town, the breakfast is fabulous, loved the whole experience.

Found this little gem. We had room 3 and the views are amazing. The room is very spacious and alright the bathroom is separate it wasn't a problem. Obviously with the current situation we had breakfast delivered to the room after ordering it via text message and couldn't fault it at all. Very clean and in an amazing location can only recommend this place. Would of loved to have met the owners to relay this face to face however they have an amazing set up from check in to check out during these torrid times

Our second visit and we hope that it will not be the last.

Superb accommodation, wonderful hosts and a great breakfast. What more could you ask.

Highly recommended, especially if you can get Room 1 which has the most wonderful views across to Brixham which can be enjoyed from a balcony exclusively for your use.

We stayed for 1 night en route to our self catering accommodation and will certainly stay here again if in the area.
It was very strange staying with no personal contact but that minimises COVID risks both ways
Our room was small and had an adjoining bathroom rather than an en suite, but what a bathroom - Jacuzzi bath and steam room full body shower!
Breakfast was delivered to our room and was superb. We would love to see if it could be bettered in ‘normal’ times.
All in all, fantastic value for money.

We couldn't be happier with our stay here.
We were in room 2 which I read that some people criticized the fact that the bathroom is in a doorway next to the room.
For us it was no problem at all! They leave you robes that you can use.
The cleanliness of the place is amazing! Everything was immaculate.
The breakfast was our favorite part with the excellent staff. Super friendly.
It has a home-like atmosphere.
We will definitely come back.

Hello Quavestar, I'm sorry to say that both rooms that have the extra beds are both booked out on the 21st and the only room we have left, the double does not have the extra space. Sorry we could not help you for this date, best wishes Yew Tree House.
