Stayed for two nights in a Motorhome looking for a relaxing break. Easy to find, receptionist pleasant and shown map to pitch and working route to beach. Found pitch easily but found the grass area (which was for our awning) very uneven and sloping even although the hard standing area for the motorhome was pretty level. This meant for unpleasant table tilt when set up. There was absolutely no view from the pitch area which was a disappointment. Toilet and shower facilities weren’t too bad, although they tended to close these facilities at the time where you’d expect most use… turned up to use them in the morning to find they were closed. Need to think about timing. The chemical disposal room was very bad, not clean and actually blocked. Clearly not checked on a regular basis. Hygienically, they could do much more offering hand cleaning soap and hot water to rinse out the cassettes. If you don’t want children running around till late, this is not the site for you. Kids running about and using scooters everywhere, including electric scooters around toilet blocks. Ball games played with a few caravans, vans and motorhome struck with flying balls. There were many people breaking the rules, including open fires, noise after 11:00pm, not too mention fumes from certain parties eminating from “weed”. Not particularly family friendly. There was no evidence of wardens or anyone checking facilities at any time. The motorhome disposal point was not well designed with the grey waste drain being particularly difficult to position for all but the smallest of motorhome. I really cannot recommend this site at all and will not return, which is a shame since their other site located at Tantallon was a completely different experience.…
Loved this caravan park , so close tot the bridge to no-were also , only thing I would suggest is that people come and check the cleaning area I spend one day picking spaghetti out of a sink rom a discussing family just dumping there left overs in the sink.
Stayed here for 3 nights in a static caravan whilst working in the area. The caravan was neat, tidy, well maintained and well equipped. There was enough parking outside the caravan for a van, and to offload. I would be more than happy to stay here again.
We stayed here from Sunday to Tuesday, 2 caravans for 4 adults and 7 children. This was a Granny’s trip , three of us met at college over 50 years ago and have remained great friends. We had the best time at this site. Caravans were exceptional, spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The children had taken their bikes and scooters and played very happily, using both of the small play parks on site. It is perfectly placed for any number of attractions. We did Fox Lake which was amazing and then East Links the next day. East links is fabulous and perfect for our party , children aged 6 to 12.. it is minutes away from the site. General consensus is everyone would love to go again to stay in the caravans , massive success.
I’ve recently started touring with my caravan and this place is by far the best I’ve visited. Amazing facilities for all the family (bath is a god send for my one year old) Toilets and showers are so clean and the staff are amazing. So friendly and quick to help out. Genuinely cannot wait to visit again. Amazing food prep area for those camping and even a toaster and microwave! Very dog friendly and lovely walks for the kids. Not too far from the beach and just a lovely. I felt very safe with my two children and the dog (apologies to those who he barked at 🙈) Wonderful place to visit and also, only 3 minute drive to the leisure pool and there is also an Asda 5 minute drive.
Upon arrival the belhaven bay caravan park it seemed very lovely with great facilities however to my dismay when I attempted to shower a few Algiers later I was discombobulated by how confusing the locking mechanism was further more when I took a gander at the small claustrophobic the room was and homethere were very obvious pieces of grime around the sink and shower knob. After my initial dismay I tried to use the shower however I was disgusted to find that the shower handle did not turn and I fact came off in my hand so that night I gave up and went without. The following morning I tried again it was much the same although after much struggle with the shower knob I got it to work but I was shocked to find that the water was freezing cold for the entire duration of my shower.
We stayed here in September in the Wigwam for a week. The site is in an excellent location, a great spot for families and dogs. Right on the beach with plenty of walks near by. The view from the wigwams over the lake is amazing. The accommodation was spotlessly clean as were the showering facilities. We didn’t need at speak to the staff much but what we seen of them, they were so polite and welcoming. The short walk to the shower block later at night was quite dark but there was a torch provided which came in very handy. We would definitely visit again!
We love it here but first time in our motorhome on a site and it didn't disappoint. Site was well maintained, facilities very clean and easy access to beach (watch the tides or be prepared to paddle!) and the town. Child and dog friendly.
Easy beach access and great for watching the sunset over the bridge to nowhere. So close you can take all of your stuff for a BBQ. Plenty of facilities, nice and clean with lots of hot water. The washing up room had great extras like a fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave.
Obviously a popular location with loads of attractions nearby for kids, and plenty kids on site to play together. I reckon this site had lots of regulars as there seemed to be a community of kids playing together. Not much on site itself but that isn't really needed. Site is clean and tidy and well set out.
