Looking for hotels in Dunbar? The Pine Marten is a perfect choice. A Royal Burgh since 1445, Dunbar is steeped in history and was one of the most important Scottish fortresses in the middle ages. Guests at Pine Marten can look forward to picturesque surroundings and a cosy log fire. Our lodge also offers a 24 hour manned front desk. Our rooms come complete with digital television, en-suite bathrooms and wifi, for an authentic home-from-home experience, with the added bonus of daily housekeeping being included in your room rate. Our guests can also enjoy free parking at Pine Marten. Sleep soundly in a kingsize Hypnos bed, on the Beaumont mattress, which is filled with a wool-silk mix and has a surface which regulates your body’s temperature. Enjoy an exciting menu in relaxed surroundings, including our speciality rotisserie chicken; it’s seasoned and then flame-roasted to perfection and accompanied by a great selection of side dishes. All of our rotisserie chicken is Red Tractor farm-assured, freshly prepared. Find a great wine selection, as well as a range of soft drinks and spirits. We boast an excellent selection of cask ales, from Marston’s five breweries. Ready to explore? Pine Marten is a great base to be able to see the surrounding areas. Why not visit the nearby fishing village, Musselburgh? For stunning architecture, head to Rosslyn Chapel. Edinburgh one of the most exciting cities around, with plenty to keep you occupied including Old Town, Princes Street for a spot of shopping and the world-famous Edinburgh Castle.

Stayed here last night. Booked for evening meal decided to cancel due to really bad weather. Went to reception to cancel and had to stand outside in the pouring rain due to checking diners in. Eventually gave up and returned to my room as incidentally we only had 1 key which operated the electricity so had left hubby in the dark to allow me to exit the room and re enter. Breakfast this morning blaster. Tea pot full of floaters and lemon pips, when we spoke to staff tea pot exchanged but original half full tea cups left. Veggie breakfast no veggie sausages. No offer for f continental which was in the price eventually asked and were offered there flavours of yoghurt and apples. Breakfast worst ever all put in to a frier and was like having a chip shop dinner for breakfast. Absolutely the worst breakfast ever. Did not complain due to lack of privacy as the diner was very quiet and did not want to draw attention. Oh wanted more orange juice which has to be served in 6 small glasses as they had no tall glasses available.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Fife. On arrival the staff member took us through the Covid 19 requirements....all well done, logged on to the stay safe then sanitized our hands and picked up our menu. After all of that it all seemed a bit pointless when shown to our table which had not been cleaned properly. There were hard bits of left over food stuck to it. I had to use my own sanitizer and clean tissues to wipe it down. I also noticed one of the other tables still had crumbs on when the staff showed a couple to it. Other than that the food and portions were good. The table had been a bit off putting! It also would have been nice to see the front of house staff in uniforms.

Close to A1 so easy to find; reasonable distance outside Dunbar centre, but walkable in about 20 mins. Family room had reasonable space, but the toilet wasn't clean and the carpet was very dusty. Fair price.

I can honestly say I’ve never had tastier chicken. We were so impressed by the service and the food, everything was perfect. The icing on the cake, so to speak, was the birthday cards dotted around on seats. My daughter handed one to the staff member serving us and he explained they were intended for people who had missed birthday celebrations due to lockdown. She then handed it to my son as he had just celebrated becoming a Quaranteen (13). A 10/10 experience. Thank you.
