We've just had our 13th stay in 8 years at the Rowborough and will be going back in August so I think that says it all! We really feel that we've found our island home from home and look forward to seeing Michelle and Caroline who always make us feel so welcome and look after us so well. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the breakfasts are perfect. I can definitely recommend Michelle's poached eggs, I don't know how she does it but they're always perfect. The optional evening meals are delicious and excellent value too.

Hotel's Favourite
How could we possibly go anywhere else when we'd had such a fantastic experience last year?! Only 9 months after our first holiday, we were not disappointed on the return! It was such a delight to board the discounted ferry in the sunshine for a short trip across the Solent. Michelle and Caroline greeted us in person with a very warm welcome despite our early arrival! It felt like picking up with friends again! The hotel looked lovely - it had been beautifully decorated over the winter. It was of course sanitized from top to bottom with perfect spacing arranged in the dining room - whilst still maintaining that home-from-home feel. We'd been given our favourite room on request and the beds were just as comfortable as last time, meaning excellent sleeps every night. Having eaten such delicious and tasty meals before, superbly cooked Michelle and cheerily served by Caroline, we ensured we booked a nightly dinner again (I must get that recipe for the chicken, bacon and leek pie!). And the breakfasts - always so much choice and perfectly-cooked. The ladies work so hard to ensure every guest is so well looked after and given the best holiday experience. It really is a great base from which to explore the whole island and a lovely, peaceful atmosphere to come back to after a busy day. All being well, I'm returning before the end of the season - hopefully with my new puppy ... thankfully small dogs are very welcome! Thank you so much Michelle and Caroline! 5 stars from us!

Wow, what can we say but Thank You for your 5 star review. We are delighted that once again we were able to host you and even more so that yet again you enjoyed your stay with us and your visit to the Island. It is always so reassuring when so many of our guests return not only year after year but sometimes more than once in the same season and we note that you are already planning to do that. Your puppy, once trained and able to be left in the room whilst you take your meals, will be very welcome and we look forward to meeting him. Until then stay safe and best wishes to you all. Kind Regards, Michelle & Caroline.

Shanklin is an ideal location with great pubs and restaurants and ideal for seeing the island. Michelle and Caroline are very friendly and helpful. Superb breakfasts and entire property was very clean. Bedroom a bit smaller than we have been used to, but comfortable. Seagulls bit of a pain if you are light sleepers.

Myself and my Daughter stayed at the Rowborough for the festival. So pleased we did. Michelle and Caroline were marvelous hosts who could not do enough for us. They bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed, right down to making sure my Daughters trainers were dry for her after she had to wash them!

Had a lovely stay at The Rowborough. Michelle and Caroline were great hosts and were willing to give advice on top places to go on the island. Breakfast was delicious with top service and really set us up for the day. I found the bed slightly uncomfortable on the first night but when I mentioned it to the hosts they immediately fixed it and it was much more comfortable for the following night - another example of great service! We definitely recommend 🙂

Hubby and I stayed here for 3nights. This quaint hotel was spotless and ideally located. Caroline and Michelle were excellent hosts from start to finish. Even organised our discounted ferry and their recommendations for places to eat were spot on. Would stay here again and also highly recommend it anytime.

We were very well looked after on a brief family visit to the island, along with our dog, who was also very well cared for. Even scoring herself a couple of sausages for breakfast. Michelle and Caroline really could not have been more attentive, considerate or friendly, keeping the place spotless and maintaining a good atmosphere. We were very impressed and certainly would recommend the hotel.
