Number 29 is a fresh start for Luke and Chris after they decided to downsize from their four star guest house in Shanklin which they had successfully run for over 10 year to a smaller b&b which will be for adults only, they regret that we will be unable to accommodate children or pets

Christine is a brilliant host, having run larger hotels in the past, the standard of this B&B is exceptional. The room was of a much higher quality than we were expecting which made it excellent value, and the breakfast was cooked perfectly and piping hot each time. Really liked the personal touches, like homemade cake in the room on arrival, and lovely chats with Chris in the mornings. We had a bargain, and would recommend to anyone. Great location, short walk from the beach and Shanklin Chine, and the prettiest part of Shanklin with thatched tea rooms. Loved it.

What a lovely find. Chris was very welcoming and we enjoyed the lemon cake on arrival. The room was clean and we felt very safe with the COVID planning she had in place. Breakfast was hot and delicious and we enjoyed the home made bread. Thank you Chris.

Well after a trip abroad was cancelled we looked closer to home for a short staycation. We came upon Number 29 and looked at the reviews, this alone sealed the decision and we were not disappointed As previously mentioned Number 29 is a small, adults only, B and B consisting of just 3 rooms but they are beautifully equipped and kept by Chris and Luke Due to the ongoing Covid regulations things ran a little differently but perfectly organised We stayed in Room 1 with the sea view. Plenty of space with its own little seating area off the bedroom. As mentioned before breakfast was organised a little differently. Menu lists were left in your room for the duration of your stay and these were to be completed and left downstairs for the following day. Everything was on the list that you would expect and everything was cooked to order Chris also offered Evening Meals at a very reasonable rate and were beautifully cooked. Its well worth thinking about if you are staying in the near future as you need to book any restaurant visits in advance and we found availability was very limited in Shanklin Chris also offered great advice on places we had decided to visit. Again due to the ongoing restrictions we found a number of places closed but we were still able to visit other places of interest A lovely 7 days spent at a great hotel Thanks to Chris and Luke for a wonderful stay
