Detailed Reviews
Hanna was a superb host, the bedroom was large & airy & the bed very comfortable everything spotlessly clean. Felt very safe with the sensible Covid measures that were in place. The breakfast was top notch and the spacing of the tables in the dining room were again very sensible. A great couple of nights stay, would definitely recommend. Thank you Hanna for the hard work and effort that you are obviously putting in to look after all of your guests in very difficult circumstances, much appreciated.

Our room was larger than expected, very clean and comfortable. Also having a full size fridge in the room was very useful.
Breakfast was excellent especially the grapefruit, the scrambled egg with smoked salmon and the full English.
All the Covid related adjustments that have been made, mean staying here feels extremely safe.
Car parking is available for 4 cars on a first come basis. This was fin, as although there are 7 rooms, quite a few guest arrive via rail, with Shanklin station being very close. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to go back in the future.

This B & B provided all we could need for a perfect break on the Isle of Wight. Hana & Steve offer a warm welcome, delicious breakfast and the offer of an equally tasty evening meal. They don't have a licence to sell alcohol but you are permitted to take your own drinks to consume with your evening meal and glasses can be provided.
We stayed in room 1 which was recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable and with blackout blinds it's hard not to get a good night's sleep. There is a sofa as well as a dressing table with stool so there is room to relax or work. Plenty of storage room in the shape of wardrobe and drawers. A fridge in the room is a great benefit along with the tv. Obviously the usual tea and coffee facilities are in the room too. The room has plenty of space to move around in. The ensuite has a shower with excellent water pressure.
I couldn't recommend this B & B more.

Another visit to Brooke House this year, and a longer stay with international travel being subject to disruption due to Coronavirus.
We had seen from Facebook how Hana and Steve spent lockdown decorating and keeping their place pristine as always, and had followed the posts about preparing for reopening in the “new normal”.
Cleanliness during our stay was excellent as always, plenty of sanitiser on hand and social distancing was achieved with the guest lounge being used as a second dining room. Breakfast was just as good as always, ordering the night before was no issue for s and with fruit, juices era served at your table we felt completely secure against the current risks.
Would we stay again? Well.... it’s already booked for next year.

We booked this last minute as our overseas holiday had to be postponed. Hana was really helpful with both our booking and our ferry booking which made it an easy choice. Nothing was too much trouble and Hana and Steve were keen that we were all having a lovely holiday. The guesthouse is in a great location being close to the beach and the town. The breakfast was excellent and we were also lucky with the 'eat out to help out' scheme as many of the restaurants were participating. This was our first visit to IoW and certainly won't be our last as we absolutely loved it here. Thank you. Jackie G and boys

We were welcomed on arrival by Hana, who showed us to our room & ensured we knew everything there was to enjoy our stay. Our room was very spacious, very well furnished, decorated and cleaned to an impeccable high standard.
Breakfast was ordered the night before via a slip & served in the dining room downstairs, which was presented well with continental options & fresh cooked food, brought to our table. An ironing board was made available for us on request.
A nice touch was, we were always greeted by our first names, with one of us being gluten free and catered for especially. Always friendly, with nothing being too much trouble.
Will definitely recommend & will return again!

We had such an amazing week, if we could have given more than 5/5 we would. From check in to check out Hana and Steve were fantastic hosts, nothing was ever too much trouble for them, and every wish we had was catered for without an issue. The whole guest house from top to bottom is spotlessly clean and finished to a very good standard, including the rooms. A very large bed in the room just one of the many nice features, as well as a fridge in the room which meant we was able to keep snacks and fresh milk cold. The breakfast was amazing too cooked fresh every morning, options of a hot cooked breakfast along with a range of cereals and yogurts and juices, local marmalades on offer as well as a large choice of jams and spreads. We really can’t recommend them enough, we left very happy, and was the best place we have ever stayed in, and when back on the isle, we will not hesitate to book again. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

We visited Brooke House for the 6th time this May. As previously found it represents excellent value. Bedrooms are large, well decorated and comfortable and include a fridge to keep drinks and other perishables fresh.
It is located 5 minutes from the station and 10 minutes from the town centre. It is also 5 minutes from an off road cycle path which can be walked or followed to the 'Round the Island Cycle route' for the more experienced cyclist. The Island is a great place for cycling both on and off road.
Hannah and Steve are helpful and friendly hosts and provide a good breakfast - and if needed an evening meal. There is also on site parking.
