Just returned from a Monday to Friday break with our two Grandchildren. We had a fantastic time as there is plenty for the children to do. Two outdoor pools and one indoor. A games room and a playground, also mini golf. The hotel overlooks the sea and has stunning views.

Luccombe Hall Hotel was a little strange to find, as the image of the hotel on-line is actually of the wonderful garden to the rear, as opposed to the front, so actually missed the hotel on first attempt to find. Despite this small hiccup, the hotel has a great number of

Sorry - also a non smoker so was unaware of this restriction, but at the bottom of the gardens near the tea rooms there is an open public pathway with bench seating.

The owners have replied, below my review. Very defensive and missing the point.

They did reply but very defensive. They do not have “time to run around after guests”. At that point I gave up. Been there, done that, Ventnor next time, their loss. They really need to do a course in customer care, tact and diplomacy. They are at 60% and with a different attitude easily get to 70%. More money is needed for investment which they are only going to get by being more guest friendly.

The direct access entails a walk down a long stretch of steep steps but once down, the beach is wide and sandy and perfect for paddling.
