We had a wonderful stay at Shoreside! It really is very difficult to think how our three day stay could have been any better. Everything perfect....hosts, food, room, view. The breakfast was exceptional and we loved Jo's daily specials. Then, as if that weren't enough, we were offered freshly baked pastries to take away with us for elevensies each day! We will be back!

I can honestly say that this B&B has got to be one of the best if not the best I've ever stayed in. We were greeted on our arrival by Andy who had already arranged a nice location to leave our motorbikes and helped us with our luggage. Andy then showed us to our lovely spacious twin room that had everything and more you could ever want plus a fantastic view of Shanklin sea front. Breakfast was amazing from start to finish with both Andy and his Wife Jo offering everything you could ever want for your breakfast and then warm pastries to go, who could want for more ? We had a fantastic weekend riding around the Isle of White which was made even better by Andy and Jo and their fantastic B&B. I will definitely be returning for another visit and will definitely recommend Shoreside to all family and Friends.

It really is as good as other reviewers have written. Not knowing the Isle of Wight we researched on Google and decided to try Shanklin. After that choosing where to stay was an easy choice given all the positive reviews so we booked the Shoreside for a week. Even before we arrived Jo & Andy made us feel very welcome making sure we had the best room for my partner who had had spinal surgery recently, giving us a discount code for the car ferry and advice on restaurants. It’s good having a hotel car park at the rear and even before I got out of the car Andy was there to help with the cases. Our room overlooked the sea, it was spacious, well presented with a super large comfy bed, own fridge, and little details such as a supply of jelly beans! And like all the other parts of the hotel everywhere was immaculately clean. Breakfast was served in a collection of small interconnected rooms which made it feel rather intimate and not like being in some large dining hall. There was a good selection of freshly made food (Jo in the kitchen and Andy doing table service) and if that weren’t enough we were given a couple of Jo’s home-made pastries to take away each day. Jo and Andy’s personal caring touch helped make our stay so enjoyable, for which they have our thanks. They deserve every success.

Andy and Jo made us very welcome, they could not do enough for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, contained everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent, very good choices. Can't wait to return !

We have stayed at Shoreside every year for the last 10 years which speaks for itself. We can't fault this establishment. Andy and Jo are fantastic hosts, their passion for their business makes your stay memorable. Perfect location, right on the beach front. Always a fantastic breakfast, beautiful rooms, we have ready booked in for next year 🙂

Andy & Jo, perfect hosts at this adults only Shanklin B&B which has a distinct advantage of off street parking in a decent sized car park. We had the Gambles room at the top of the house with its own private balcony overlooking the sea that is just across the road, so close that the sound of the waves offer a serene calmness when going to sleep at night. Good selection of offerings for breakfast with tea, coffee and fresh milk in the room that includes a mini fridge Would have preferred biscuits to jelly beans but fortunately had bought our own, though had we wanted some, I'm sure it wouldn't have been an issue. Only two minor criticisms, personal preference, would have been good to have a wider bed and a dressing table in the room which had room to accommodate both.

Andy and Jo very kindly squeezed us in for an extra nights stay on the Island. We absolutely loved the room and the breakfast. Couldn’t ask for kinder hosts. Andy came to greet us on the car park and both came out to say goodbye to us. The B&B is clean and in a great location on the Shanklin seafront.

After our fourth visit to Shoreside Inn, we thought it was about time we wrote a review. Putting it bluntly we love it! It has become our happy place and we have already booked for next year. The hotel is situated on Shanklin sea front and as it has parking, an added bonus is that you don’t have to pay for parking along the seafront. On arrival Andy and Jo just appear in the car park to greet you, ready to help carry luggage to your room. They are brilliant friendly hosts who will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Rooms – The room we usually have (room 6) has a side sea-view. It is very spacious with a comfortable king size bed, two easy chairs and a spacious walk-in shower. Besides normal facilities like TV and WIFI etc there is a mini-fridge which is restocked daily with fresh milk and bottles of water and an extra treat is a little bag of jelly beans. The rooms are beautifully clean. Breakfast – Jo is the cook and she supplies wonderful tasty breakfasts, with lots of fresh local produce - to us it could not be faulted. Cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit salad to start. You can then have a full English breakfast or choose whatever you want from the menu. The bacon is thick and tasty, the eggs fresh and we love the way Jo cooks the Isle of Wight tomatoes. The toast and jams also deserve a mention. Jo makes her own jams which are delicious – marmalade, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and when we were there tayberry jam. There is a wide choice of breads, which is always lovely and fresh (not the typical sliced loaf). Besides the usual fare Jo often cooks “specials.” We tried the waffles and the pancakes with mixed berry syrup. As expected – delicious! To take away for the day they then supply pastries Andy is your waiter for breakfast – warning, he does not dress up to act as waiter, but he is always cheerful, often whistling or humming. As soon as you say where you are going on that day he is a mine of information and recommendations about where to eat and what to do. We cannot recommend this hotel enough. Check out their website and Facebook!
