Cannot fault this hotel. Great location on the cliffs above Shanklin, convenient for town shops and restaurants. Beautiful building, clean, comfortable rooms individually decorated, lovely staff and a great breakfast. We will definitely come back and stay longer.

So glad I found this hotel and thank you to other reviewers who gave it good reviews. It really was a gem. The room was individually decorated, very clean, warm and had a lovely view of the garden. There were some really nice extras in the room. A very quiet location but really

I absolutely love this hotel, the setting, the owners. This is not our first time here and it is still as perfect as all our previous stays. Fabulous breakfasts to fuel you up for the day. As soon as you walk through the door any stresses melt away. Carole and Mike go above and

Where can I start to review this hotel ... with one word 'remarkable '. Owners - well you are greeted by Carole in a very warm and friendly way. Check in very quick. You are given a tour of the downstairs rooms and shown to your room. Our room - 'Elm' - WOW it was wonderful.

Hi, not wishing to turn potential custom away, we are the opposite side of the island for Osbourne House. Getting to the Island is really easy as the ships dock next to the Red Funnel Terminal. You could either walk or it mis the shortest of Taxi rides from the ship to the Red Jet crossing. This is a catamaran service to West Cowes. I would look for somewhere there. Or you could get the car ferry to East Cowes and stay at Albert Cottage or close by Osbourne house. English heritage also hire out holiday self catering lets in the grounds of Osbourne House. I would recommend a company called Sunny Travel for the Airport transfer. They pick you up from the terminal and take you straight to the airport. Their number is 02392787878. Look for accommodation in Cowes to suit your needs. We hope you have a great trip. Regards Mike & Carole. Rylstone Manor

any rooms with single beds for two occupants
We have two rooms that are twin rooms. One is our superior room Maple and the other is our standard deluxe room Fir. All can be seen on our own website, or call 01983862806 to check when they are available.

Hello, We are set back 50 yards from the cliff edge. However, we are at the top of the cliffs and there is access down to the beach via around 150 steps. Although we are in the middle of the public gardens it is not the sort of place where you come to play football. There is a bigger park for that known as the Big Mead. It is a quiet gardens normally and we have not had any issues with noise other than the brass bands that play in the bandstand usually on a Sunday afternoon between May and Sept and some evenings for an hours or so, weather permitting.

Is there wi-fi / internet access throughout the hotel ?
Hello there Yes there is, I'm almost positive, however it is spotty. Even 4G reception is spotty. It is a remote area of the island. Even though it sits in the middle of a park thst is open to the public, it is surrounded by trees on three sides, and the fourth side faces the cliffs. Around the corner, once you're on Main Street there are restaurants that have better reception, I did emails and Facebook there. You can always ask Carol for help checking emails or making phone calls, she is just adorable. Just as a suggestion, once you turn everything off it is magical. As for myself, I enjoyed being disconnected from everything and everyone. Hope it helps! R
