We stayed 3 nights at the Clifton. Lovely place to stay right on cliff top and short walk to Shanklin centre. Our room was nice...spotlessly clean and comfy beds with plenty of tea and coffee which is always welcome. Great choice at breakfast which is freshly cooked and it’s handy to have the bar of an evening for a drink. The Clifton staff are great- helpful, friendly and welcoming. The COVID precautions are spot on without being too ‘in your face’. Thank you for having us and we look forward to visiting again.

Had two nights at this hotel. Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Plenty of things to do in the area and places to eat. The location overlooking the sea is fabulous and would recommend you take the sea view with balcony. Would stay again!

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, there was nothing to fault this hotel - Breakfast is lovely, with plenty on offer, the rooms are very clean. The staff certainly know a lot about the hotel and surrounding areas and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is within walking distance of the town, but far enough away not to be bothered by any noise. there is direct access (path) to the beach, but this is via a steep walk away - ok on the way down- torture on the way up, but a nice Cream Tea makes it all worthwhile. If I had any criticism of the hotel, it would be that you aren't allowed to take 'takeaway food' into the hotel, I would've loved to be able to eat fish and chips from the local chippy in the sun room looking over the sea, but totally get the smell isn't to everyone's choice. I would happily go back to this hotel
