SILVER AWARD - 4 STAR GUEST HOUSE Mike and Sally, resident proprietors since 2001, welcome you to the Snowdon House, where its warm and friendly atmosphere will suit all tastes. The Snowdon is a Silver Award, 4 star guest house situated just some 100 metres away from the spectacular cliff walk and views of Sandown Bay. We are ideally located for the sandy beaches via lift or walkways. Shanklin Old Village, the Town centre and Shanklin Theatre being only a few minutes walk away. We have an excellent reputation for good quality home cooked food, with hearty breakfasts to set you up for the day. In 2010 we achieved the Egg Cup Breakfast Award from Visit England. All of our six bedrooms are individually decorated with en-suite, hair dryer, colour TV, bottled water and tea / coffee making facilities and FREE guest Wi-fi. We can offer single, superior twin, double, superior double or four poster king size rooms, with a ground floor room available. There is off street parking for three vehicles to the side of the building and on street parking when available.

This is a delightful guest house in the heart of Shanklin. It is located in a prime position, close to both the cliff top for access to the beach, while also being a very short walk to the town centre. It is superbly run by the charming proprietor, Sally. The breakfasts were cooked to order and very enjoyable. The highlight however has to be the bedrooms. I was fortunately to be in room no.4 and it was quite stunning, presumably refurbished fairly recently. All in all an excellent guest house that we will be sure to return to.

We have just had our 20 something stay at Snowdon House, we simply love coming here. Our room was immaculate, the breakfasts were simply fantastic.....we were spoilt for choice as always!! See my previous reviews for more info!! Really lovely to feel at home from the second we arrived, never disappointed only when its time to pack up and say goodbye!! Until next time Thank You Snowdon House!! x Also a special mention of thanks that about 2 hours after we had "left" I got a call on my mobile as the owners knew we were still on the Island to say I had left something behind so I was able to go back and collect it which saved the bother of getting it back to the mainland via post etc really appreciated that :) 10/10 visit

Had a wonderful stay at this delightful guest house, stayed in the double with twin room which is on the ground floor. Huge comfortable room with plenty of storage space. Everywhere was immaculately clean. We arrived early and our room was ready for us no problem. Excellent breakfasts and lovely hosts. Would definitely recommend.

Our 21sst stay.......each visit is always such a treat! We soon settled in and felt immediately "at home". The outside has been repainted as has the dinning room, very bright and cheery!! As usual our room was immaculate, comfortable and well equiped with tea, coffee, water along with soaps, shower gel, body lotion and shampoo in the shower room. Breakfast was excellent with cereals, homemade fruit salad, grapefruit, juices, tea/coffee and a good selection of various good cooked from traditional Full English, American Style, Halloumi, Smoke Salmon with Scrambled Eggs...plus many others then follows toast with jam/marmalade/marmite if you have room for it!! I had my favourite Egg and Bacon Toasted Muffin 2 days, Full English and the Salmon (I forgot to take a picture sorry). The whole stay was relaxed and we have already booked for our next visit. There are lots of useful leaflets for you to take with info on lots of things to see/do around the island and if you need any guidance on how to get somewhere just ask the hotel owners and they can/will give you the info needed. 10.10 Snowdon House thank you for having us!!!…

This is possibly the best B&B that I have ever stayed in. My room was excellent - a good size, modern and well-equipped bathroom, comfortable bed, TV, wifi and tea making facilities. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and happy to help with local advice. And the breakfasts are really excellent - a wide range of cooked dishes, all freshly-made. It is also very well located, within walking distance of both the beach (down lots of steps or the lift) and the town's high street, pubs and shops. I am already looking for an opportunity to go back.

We have just had our 18th stay at Snowdon House!! Our room was immaculate, cosy and fully equipped with all we needed, very cosy bed, the breakfasts were as always amazing (nobody does poached eggs as well as Snowdon House). We had a variety of breakfasts between us over our 5 day break, every visit we try to have something different but I always tend to stick to my favourite, the bacon and egg muffin, as its such a treat! I am an early bird so was up and out down the nearby beach every morning at 0545 to watch the amazing sunrises, then back for a nice shower etc so was ready breakfast by 0830. We are already booked for our next visit. Everything about this stay was just perfect, amazing service, great room, clean, friendly, brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day, thank you "Team Snowdon"…

Immaculate b&b, room was fantastic much exceeded our expectations, very tastefully decorated. Much better on the inside than it looked the exterior which when we arrived made us a little apprehensive. Friendly owner who served a wonderful breakfast with lots of choice. Space to park two cars or on street parking. Very well situated for Old Shanklin, beach or centre. Would definitely stay again and would recommend

Very pleasant room with great breakfast. Breakfast you have about 10 choices and fresh prepared. Upgraded modern room with wonderful natural light from the Victorian windows. Good location for beach, walks and restaurants in Shanklin. Great value for money!

We visit Snowdon House every year (see all my previous reviews) this year due to the Covid situation we were worried we would not be able to visit. All I can say is thankfully we have indeed had our visit and it was all done very safely, the hard work and safety measures put in place made it as "normal" as possible. The whole 5 days were calm, relaxing and totally up to the high standards always experienced. Our room was very comfortable, breakfasts were 100% the hosts were on hand if needed to give guidance etc. I am sad to be leaving my "home from home" again so soon but have already booked my next visit. Thank You for a super stay :)
