Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was an unexpected find - very comfortable. In a good position near to the town centre and amenities, with lovely gardens. Breakfast was superb and staff very friendly. A short walk to the coast. Would go again.

This bed and breakfast is a lovely place. The building is old and beautiful. The location is up a quiet street and therefore not nousy at all. The complimentary tea, coffee, etc. was an added bonus. The breakfast is freshly cooked and tasty. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I can see in the busy summer period that parking could be an issue as there is only limited spaces. Definitely worth staying here.

Lovely place to stay. Full of character. The weather was awful when we stayed but we sat on the veranda and watched the approaching storm! Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good. If I go to Shanklin again I would chose to stay here.

A delightful guest house in the heart of Shanklin, yet tucked away giving a sense of seclusion. Everyone at the Grange is friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There is a small honesty bar that overlooks the the large garden (that leads to the chine and the beach). There is also a fabulous lounge area to relax in. Our room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious. A very relaxing stay and highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel really welcome. The building and beautiful gardens, the lounge, the art work on display, endless supply of biscuits, tea/coffee and fruit, cooked to order breakfast, the honesty bar, good wi-fi etc. It was all excellent coupled with very professional, friendly staff. Off road parking in a great location. Hopefully, we will be returning soon.

The Grange is a beautiful old building with a three tiered magnificent garden. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable, and doors leading right to the garden was a very welcome feature. Breakfast was made to order and the staff were wonderful. We highly recommend.

We have just enjoyed a lovely two night stay at the Grange. The hotel and gardens are beautiful, the staff very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. It’s located in a lovely quiet location, convenient for both the old village and the seafront. We would definitely like to return in the future.
