This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at Westbury Lodge and this time we brought our daughter with us. Yet again we had a wonderful stay. Rosemary and David are great hosts - welcoming, friendly and providing everything you need for a perfect holiday. Our room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, plentiful hot water in the shower, nice toiletries, a good supply of tea and coffee, and had everything you could need. David's breakfasts are becoming a legend and they certainly set you up for the day. Westbury Lodge is conveniently placed for Shanklin town with good restaurants and shops and also very near the sea front. We can't wait to come back!

I am so pleased my husband chose this place. It was a surprise getaway for our anniversary. Rosemary and David are such a nice couple and think of everything. The rooms are clean and spacious and have nice big windows. The beds are comfortable. Bottles of water, biscuits and tea and coffee making facilities are replenished every day. We had our table assigned to us in the breakfast room and were the only ones to use it during our stay. If you wanted to bring a take away back for your evening meal, You could use your table in the dining room and David and Rosemary would set it up later for your breakfast. Breakfasts were outstanding. A wonderful choice of cereals! Yoghurts and compote (made by Rosemary). Then a good choice of cooked breakfast using local produce, which will keep you going all day. It is a 5 minute walk to town one way with a few nice tea rooms, coffee shops and pubs, and Just a few minutes more the other way to the beach. There is a shuttle bus down to the beach or car parking at the front for those unable to or don,t want to walk. Covid precautions are well in place at the lodge, but without infringing on your enjoyment. A number of the other guests I spoke to were already on their second and third visit to the lodge and I can understand why. You wouldn,t want to stay anywhere else. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It was lovely to meet you both and we were pleased that you enjoyed your stay and managed to celebrate your anniversary in style! Thank you for your kind comments, which we really appreciate and we know they are important for possible future guests when they are trying to decide where to stay. I hope that all that exercise did not leave Tony experiencing too much discomfort. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

We were warmly welcomed by David & Rosemary, everything explained to us and shown to our lovely room. We then enjoyed coffee and cake in the garden. Room 3 was spacious, spotless and comfortable. We had everything we needed, and more.....tea/coffee makings, bottled water every day. Spotless en-suite shower room with huge fluffy towels. Breakfasts were fantastic.....so much choice and freshly cooked each day. We had the same table for dining each day and a lovely lounge, conservatory and garden are available for guests to use. The location was great, close to everywhere we planned to go. A short walk took us along the cliff path or down to the beach. It was a short walk into the town with shops and restaurants. We would definitely come back and highly recommend both the property and the lovely owners. Parking could be a problem, especially when the hotel was full but we always managed to find a spot in a nearby side street.

This is our third stay at Westbury Lodge, Rosemary and David are amazing hosts with an excellent establishment. The little touches made all three of our stays superb and Rosemary goes above and beyond to look after all her guests. David is a first class chef and the quality and choice of food at breakfast is second to none. The COVID controls and facilities are first class and extremely well managed throughout the general public areas. I would recommend this B&B to anyone that’s looking for a top quality stay in Shanklin, we had another amazing stay and didn’t want our holiday to end.

I had to attend a hastily arranged appointment on the Island, and had little time to arrange booking into a Hotel, so it was a great relief when I managed to book in for two nights at the WESTBURY. From the moment I walked through the front door, until my departure, I was shown nothing but kindness and helpfulness from David and Rosemary, the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The Bedroom was faultless, with a selection of tea and coffee and the complimentary biscuits. The choice of Breakfast Menu was excellent, but I settled for the Full English, but it wasn’t your normal Full English, this was (as the Menu suggested) a Large Breakfast. I think this was an understatement. In my opinion, if you manage to finish the Large Breakfast, it will keep you going for the rest of the day. Perfect location too, only a few minutes’ walk to the beach, to the main shopping area, and the Island line train to the Ferry. Wonderful experience, and wonderful hosts Rosemary and David. Would highly recommend.
