Really lovely experience with our family at Hayes Barton. The quality and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. Really warm welcome from the Hayes Barton team and the food was amazing and service really welcoming. The location was perfect for exploring the area and the walk through the Chine to the beach was great, especially at night. I would recommend this hotel and cant wait to go back.

This Hotel is a little gem. Stayed with my elderly Mum and we both had the best holiday ever thanks to wonderful hosts who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel spotlessly clean and the food first class. Fresh ingredients and very well cooked with lots of variety. The mattress was so comfortable so gave the best nights sleep .Will be recommending Hayes Barton to all my friends and family and certainly hope to stay again. .

We had a wonderful four night stay here last week. The owners Joan and Chris were so welcoming that you felt comfortable and at home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The food was amazing and restaurant standard. Varied and delicious. I am quite disabled with arthritis and my only problem was getting up the two steps which led to our rooms at the back of the property but even here there was a small rail for assistance. I would definitely return and I shall be recommending this little bit of heaven to friends and family.

Joan and Chris were very welcoming on our arrival and were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The property is very clean and nicely decorated throughout. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The food was very good with several choices for breakfast and dinner. The waitress serving dinner was a delight. All of the other guests were very friendly and had stayed at Hayes Barton many times which speaks for itself.

If you are looking for a very welcoming environment with fantastic hosts, look no further. Within five minutes walk from Shanklin Old Town and the theatre, the location is great. Easy booking with ferry passage to and from the mainland all arranged for you. Car parking on site. Great cooked breakfast included and optional evening meal - food is excellent and a number of different choices are available each evening. Definitely recommend the half board option. Can't fault the level of service and really great atmosphere. All rooms have been updated since our previous stay and the standard of decor is very good. Loved the new quiet room at the rear where we played cards in the evening. A communal lounge is also available. Bedrooms are on suite with free wifi and televisions. Must give this a try.

Thank you very much for your kind review and lovely comments - I couldn't believe it was 12 years ago when you first stayed with us - the décor would certainly have looked at lot different then! We love our quiet area which was a transformation from what was the bar, a real tah-dah moment and it makes much better use of the space. Hopefully we'll see you all again but better not leave it another 12 years though. Thanks once again for your company and best wishes. Joan

This was our second stay at Hayes Barton and it was as perfect as the first. The family room is plenty spacious enough for 4 of us with a good sized bath and shower room. The best bit though has to be the meals. As a coeliac, it is amazing to know that breakfast and dinner are taken care of and ‘safe’. The food at both meals is beautifully cooked and varied with plenty of choice and there is real care taken to make sure everyone has what they want/need. Joan and Chris have an absolute gem of a place here and we will definitely be back. Thank you for another amazing holiday.

Thank you very much for your fantastic review. We enjoyed seeing you all again and the boys are just great, how much they've grown in just two years. It was a pleasure to have your company and I'm sorry the weather wasn't great but you seemed to find plenty to do and the strong winds certainly made the chair lift experience at Alum Bay that bit more exciting! Thank you very much for coming back to us and hopefully we'll see you again. Joan

Chris and Joan were very welcoming. The accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good and nicely cooked. An ideal spot for touring the island. Excellent sea food restaurants. Osborne House is near by and well worth spending a day there.
