Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another stay at this fantastic B&B on the isle of Wight. Nice clean and tidy room, comfortable bed, and a lounge we used in the evenings. Not forgetting the fantastic breakfast. Thanks again for the Black pudding!!

Just come back from this wonderful B and B on the Isle of Wight The hosts are so very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us all to make us feel comfortable and part of a family Bumping into a couple at breakfast (best breakfast ever by the way) who visit regularly shows how much this home becomes a home from home for everyone If you are a doggy person it’s heaven! Our cavapoo ran around with the gorgeous doggies who are loved there(lucky doggies!) Our daughter was spoiled too, outing the jacuzzi on for her only to keep the childhood magic The old jukebox at breakfast was a wonderful addition, love a sing song at breakfast!! Just lovely hosts, beautiful peaceful home with a direct walk from the stunning back garden to the beach! We will be back! Thank you xxxx

We have just returned from another wonderful and relaxing stay at Manser. Perfectly located, just above Steephill Cove and a short walk into Ventnor, the property enjoys a beautiful, quiet location. Pete and Jill are so welcoming and the rooms are lovely and well equipped. The breakfast is possibly the best we have had at any B & B or small hotel with fresh. local produce and lots of choice. There is a hot tub, though we didn't get around to using it, only being there for a few days. All in all an excellent stay, as always. Highly recommended.

Felt exceptionally welcome as soon as we got in the door. The owners couldn't have done more for us, and especially after a 25 mile stretch of the coastal path, the warm welcome was much needed. Myself and my two fellow walkers would recommend this B&B highly.

We stayed here for a week in September 2018 and were delighted at how comfortable it was. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large and well provided with amenities such as a hairdryer, extra pillows and throws, and a plentiful supply of hot drinks. The complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch. The en-suite bathroom was roomy, with plentiful hot water, towels and loo paper. Additional nice touches were the complimentary shower gels and shower caps. The owners are also able to provide a shower stool and grab bar for a guest with mobility issues when showering. The breakfast selection is excellent, with a choice of fresh fruits, cereals, toast and other pastries as well as a full cooked breakfast. Local produce is a key feature of the breakfast, even as a person who doesn't eat much meat I can recommend the quality of the bacon and sausages served and the eggs are lovely. You certainly will never leave the table feeling unsatisfied. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Manser. Gill and Peter are very knowledgeable about the local area, recommending places to visit, good restaurants and pubs to eat at, as well as giving us an idea of the layout of the Island and interesting places to visit (such as the Donkey Sanctuary and Island Pearl).

We were back last week for our 16th stay at Manser - 2nd this year, and this time with our family and granddaughters. We all enjoyed time in the hot-tub and of course the truly excellent breakfasts. As usual Jill, Sue and Pete could not do enough to make our holiday so good. They bought special mugs for the girls, bubbles and supplied drawing books and more to keep them happy. The bedrooms are so comfortable, tv, plenty of milk tea, coffee, even sweets. Bottled water by the beds. Spotlessly clean and a lovely garden to watch the pheasants, birds and if you are lucky, the badgers. To make our last night even better, a lovely home made pavlova in the lounge for us to enjoy. We cannot recommend this lovely little B&B more. Thanks so much, back soon.
