We stayed for only one night to attend a wedding being held locally. Our room was perfect with a beautiful view out to sea. Mary and Les couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, they should be tour guides as they know all the best spots to visit on the island. Breakfast was superb with all you could ask for, nothing was too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend the Claddagh to anyone visiting the island, it's definitely worth five stars. Thank you so much and will see you again when we return.

I took my mother for a 3 night break and it was everything I hoped it would be. Very clean and a beautiful house with lovely view. Mary and Les are a lovely couple and were warm and accommodating. Breakfast was substantial with cereal, yoghurt, fruit and a choice of cooked breakfast. Mitten the Jack Russell was very cute! Thank you for a perfect stay!

We always have a great time when we stay at Claddagh. The hosts, Mary and Les go out of their way to make you welcome and nothing is any trouble. The breakfast is tasty and there's plenty of it with lots of choice. Fruit, yogurts, cereal, bread and toast along with a great cooked breakfast if you want it! The rooms are comfortable and very clean with some wonderful views of the sea. They are really helpful with ideas on where to go sightseeing or the new places to eat and drink. When we visit the Isle of Wight we now never stay anywhere else. Thank you once again and we look forward to seeing you again in May.

Recently stayed here for a weekend. Lovely couple, really helpful with tips on where to eat, what to visit and do while on the island. AMAZING sea view from the bedroom. Very comfy and all that you could wish for to have an enjoyable stay on the holiday. Breakfast was really good and we were left feeling very full for many hours after. Will be recommending to friends/family that will be visiting the island. And hopefully anyone who might be reading this review, recommend you give it a try and experience it for yourself!

We recently stayed at the Claddagh for five nights & can honestly say that it is the best B&B that we have ever stayed in (& we have been to a lot in the last 30 years). When we read all of the reviews before booking we were a little skeptical that the Claddagh could be that good & that Mary & Les (& Mittens) could be such perfect hosts, well - IT IS & THEY ARE. It is almost impossible to say something positive that hasn't already been said, but, we will try. Mary & Les make you feel like you are very special guests & you leave feeling like you have been best friends for years The cleanliness, food, decor, bedrooms, bathrooms, storage, friendliness, helpfulness, etc etc were all not just excellent but exceptional. Yes we are "gushing" a bit - but - IT IS THAT GOOD Are we planning our next visit to the Isle of Wight - YES Will we be staying with Mary & Les - That's a "No Brainer" as far as we are concerned it is the only place to stay & it will be just like visiting old & good friends Thanks again Mary, Les, & Family (& Mittens) for making our short break truly memorable Rob & Sue Cox - Solihull

On arrival we were greeted by Mary in the driveway when we drove up, the garden was beautiful and very well maintained with ample parking spaces. Mary was instantly warm and friendly towards us asking about our journey to the Isle of Wight and offering to take our cases. Our room was lovely, well decorated with a clean fresh feel and smell. The large double bed was comfortable with just the right amount of pillows for us. There was variety of hot drinks to choose from in our room and chocolate bars to go with it.... Nice!. The ensuite bathroom had both a shower and bath which was great as my husband is a shower person and I am a bath person. There was plenty of cupboard space for our clothes and lots of hangers to hang them on. The view from the window was amazing, you could see the beautiful blue sea glistening from the sun hitting it, it really was breathtaking. Mary told us about the house and said we were free to use the lounge and patio at our leisure, she basically opened her house to us not just a room to stay in. She also told us about the Island and good places to visit (which we did) it felt like we had known here for years not just 20 minnutes! We met Les (husband) and their cute Jack Russell dog... both were a delight and the next day we met the son, you could tell the B&B was a real family affair and they all took part in the running of it which was great. The breakfast was plentiful with continental style yoghurts, cereals, fruits, fresh juices and bread. We were also given a lovely cooked full english breakfast cooked to our liking and always cooked fresh once we came down for breakfast. We were asked what time we wanted breakfast each day which was a bonus as it meant we didn't have to get up too early.. The patio area was peaceful and comfortable with cosy chairs to sit on, we took advantage of this every day and spent time out there looking at the lovely veiws. We were made to feel like family and very sad to go at the end of our holiday. We will be returning, we loved every minute of it. (If you ever get a chance to go to the Isle of Wight this really is the place to go)

I stayed at this establishment last week and cannot rate it highly enough. It was a chance booking from a local resturants recommendation as I was stuck after the accomodation I was booked into was not up to my standards. On meeting the owners I knew I had found the perfect place to stay. The room was immaculate and beautifully furnished, with a sea view. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts so welcoming and friendly.Mary especially, she couldn't do enough for us and we left having made a friend. The area at Bonchurch is full of history and we loved the walks around the coastal path into Ventnor which was only minutes away.I would certainly recommend this place to all my friends and relatives visiting the Isle of Wight.
